We spent a night at the hotel and got an upgrade for £20.00 to a larger room with a full view of the beach. The view and location were the best part of this hotel. You are within walkng distance of all attractions and the old town. The hotel appears to be "tired" and needs an update. The elevators had not been cleaned for while, as well. However, the breakfast was very good with a variety of choices.

My boyfriend booked this hotel as a surprise for our one year anniversary. We arried earlier than the stated check in time (4 hours early!) but were told our room was ready so we could check in then. When we got to our room my boyfriend learned it wasn't a sea view room as he had booked so went to speak to reception and was told our booking wasn't for a sea view room, but they kindly upgraded us to one. The room was large and had an absolutely fantastic view across the sea and pier, however the windows were very dirty. Very comfortable bed and bedding which enabled a good nights sleep even with the clubs and pubs downstairs. Nice bathroom but for the price my boyfriend paid I would have expected some better toiletries and/or bathrobes. Some of the furniture in the room had a few chips and dents in which I found surprising. We both enjoyed the pool, gym and sauna however the female changing rooms were on the far side, which meant walking through the gym in swim wear to get to the pool! Overall, we had a pleasant stay but I do not think it was worth the price my boyfriend paid.

I visited the hotel in the May bank holiday weekend and had a fabulous stay. The room was for me and two friends, and when we arrived we had a lanes facing room with three beds which was unusual and such a nice treat - rather than fighting over the grotty sofa in the corner as a third bed. The staff were very polite at check in and during breakfasts and couldn't do enough to help you. After reading some previous reviews I was worried that it might be noisy, but despite being full on a sunny bank holiday it was very quiet and peaceful. Cant recommend it enough for what it costs and the location!

I stayed at the Queens Hotel in Brighton on Friday night.

We treated ourselves to a Tower Suite which was amazing . . Direct sea front views, huge suite and bathroom with a jacuzzi.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

It's in a great location and is excellent value for money.

Yes, it has the noise that you would expect in a hotel on its location so just pack your ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

I definitely recommend this hotel.

I been there couple of times. It's old style hotel with pool and thermal suits. Pool is good size for 5 people if more people join pool that you have to maneuver between them. Good deep up 1.8m , so you can proper swim. Sauna is better that steam room , usually it's opposite, but in this hotel sauna is good size, with plenty space and good temperature. Steam room is just wet place. No heat there. Now it's close for repair, lets hope they will do it soon.
Price is main reason why people coming there. £5 per person day entrance!!! That's excellent!
Will return as soon as steam room will be done.

We stayed here in May 2013. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, except for the windows which made the sea view although amazing, murky. The whole family slept extremely badly with the noise from the streets around, which really did seem to go on all night! I was glad we were only booked in for 1 night. The breakfast was disappointing. We swam in the pool which the kids really enjoyed. We loved being in Brighton and will definately return, but won't be staying here again.

Room Tip: All rooms are very noisy!
