my friend + i stayed at the queens hotel on the 20th jan- 21st jan, on arrival we were offered a better room for extra money but the room we had booked was quite adequate for us so we did,nt upgrade, the hotel was very clean as was room although some furniture needs updating. we used the swimming pool which was nice but the ladies changing rooms were so cold we didnt use it again. The bedroom was lovely + warm all night + the shower great lots of hot water. Breakfast was a bit of a let down not a lot of choice + tea + coffee poured out per cup from thermos + not very hot we prefer a pot on table. Not sure if i would use this hotel again.

Stayed at the queens for one night in January. As it was for a special occasion I paid extra for a sea view which admittedly was very impressive overlooking the peer.
Room was basic but very clean with comfy bed.
The hotel is right next to the lanes so ideal for shop and restaurants.
The breakfast was a buffet and the food decent.
I have a few gripes. One, for a freezing Saturday in January when the hotel was early far from full the room was particularly expensive. I paid £145 for the night which I think was too much in hindsight.
Also it was quite noisy though out the night both from people outside spilling out of pubs/clubs in to the small hours and in the morning from the rooms above and adjacent.
Finally the spa in basic and the sauna was out of order when we stayed.

Ive stayed at several hotels in Brighton and on the whole we really enjoyed the stay and I would recommend it but not at that price.

What should have been a spa weekend for my partner’s birthday ended with a fully charged credit card and a weekend at home. After Amber snow warnings,'AA' essential travel only advisories and Southern trains all but at standstill, made even worse by the fact that since booking I had been plastered wrist to shoulder with multiple injuries. Therefore, sensibly 24 hours before arrival I called Booking.com and asked if I could cancel/postpone my reservation given all of the above. They contacted the hotel and asked, Unfortunately, I was told to call the next day after checking on the weather and transport situation. Next day all of the above were still the same, so I called the hotel direct and explained that it would be dangerous and against travel warnings to attempt to travel today, especially given the next few days were advertised as even worse, therefore, I believed it would be irresponsible to take such risks. I was told it was non refundable (which I understand, as I am in the hospitality industry myself) so I pleaded to postpone or to at least have a disability room (all they could offer was a larger room with space for a wheelchair, but not DDA equipped). Postponement would mean a date immediately and a 100% increase in charge. I then called Booking.com and asked if they could help, given when the volcanic ash disrupted transport and hotels in a similar fashion two years ago, could they ask Queens and Ricardo to show some discretion and empathy to my situation. I offered to send photographs of my injuries if that would help. Booking.com tried valiantly to negotiate with Ricardo, but he was stubborn, ungracious and damm right inflexible, particularly about giving a new date at that time, without being able to check our work schedules. Therefore, I am sadly reporting that Queens Spa hotel is inflexible, ungracious and not inline with National travel warnings or equipped for DDA guests. I visit many hotels with spas, but this won’t be one. I hope Ricardo and the GM of Queens on reading this will donate my charges to charity.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.
For TripAdvisor users who have read your review , I think it is only fair that I clarify some key issues however which are not included in your comments.

Your booking was a "non refundable" booking. This booking type is usually at a discounted rate , but the conditions on it are that you can not cancel , nor can you change the date.

Although this was your booking type , as a gesture of goodwill because of the weather conditions, you were offered the option to change the date of your booking to an alternative date up and until the end of April , which you decided you would not take up.

Hotel with spa facilities, fairly busy with fantastic view. Stayed there with my wife for weekend break, room we were staying had a fabulous sea view. Spa facilities are fairly good for the price of the hotel, close walk to Brighton pier and also close walk to the town centre. Breakfast is good and in form of the buffet, staff is friendly and professional. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 1 night in Brighton as we had concert tickets at The Brighton Centre. We were fortunate to get a discount room, as I don't think their standard price is worth it. Our room was clean & tidy & the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fine, not a huge choice but sufficient for those who wanted cereal or a cooked breakfast.
the hotel is on the beachfront and close to the pier, the lanes and all which Brighton offers. However, there was a nightclub right outside our room (I think there were 3 in total). Queueing people at 11:30-12:00pm were very loud and again very loud around 3am with people coming out of the various clubs.
The receptionist was extremely helpful to us as the day we left snow came down heavily in Brighton. She enquired to how far we were travelling and how and when we told her it was via train, she brought up southern trains website and let us know which trains were delayed and which were cancelled. Certainly far more service than I had expected.
If you are going to Brighton for the clubbing scene, then this hotel is ideal if you keep an eye out for their discounted offers. Do bear in mind that there's no parking at the hotel but it's only a 15 minute walk from the train station. I never used the spa/ swimming pool so can't comment.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a beachfront room, it might mean you won't get disturbed by people leavin...

Me and my partner stayed here on a tues night in January. We found parking in regents square for £12.50 for 24 hrs, altho had to walk 10 mins to hotel.
Receptionist was friendly. We just had a standard city view room which we got at a discounted rate. Room was adequate for the 2 of us. Clean, fresh bedding and towels, bathroom was adequate. One of our bedside lamps wasn't working but everything else was fine. We did over look the lanes and the 'gentlemens club' however this didn't cause us much bother regards noise. Maybe being a Tuesday night it was quieter, we were also out very late and were so tired we didn't notice any noise.
We did have an annoying wake up call at about 8.30am of a window cleaner at our window!! Lucky we drew the curtains!
Spa was ok. Not a fan of having to walk thru the gym in my bikini to get to the pool and the changing rooms reminded me of the Locker room at school! Towels are provided tho which is handy.
We ate in their restaurant which we loved. The food was brilliant, drinks a bit pricey but it's a hotel they're all the same. I would go back for the food it was fab.
Breakfast was adequate, I'm never very impressed with these hotel breakfasts. Some hot food and cereals, fruit etc. waitress's were very helpful. However half way thru our brekkie some builders came in, they were in 2 groups and were seated either side of us. They decided to have their conversation by shouting across our table so we couldn't hear each other talk. They were also bring unhygienic with the self service food. I'm not sure if the staff were aware of this but they didn't say anything to them.
We had a great time, for the money we paid the hotel was nice. I would come back only if it was on an offer. Good location for going out in Brighton. It's only a 3 star hotel so don't expect anything amazing, Altho after reading some reviews on here it exceeded my expectations.

We stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of January and from the reviews I'd read and heard I expected much more than what we actually experienced at the Queens hotel.

The hotel is in a brilliant location on the sea front and right by the lanes so very convenient as we could walk everywhere (although parking doesn't come cheap in this area!). Despite it's close proximity to the night life we had a good nights sleep without too much noise from the nearby clubs etc.

The room we had was basic, the decor was a bit outdated and you can see they've gone for a modern look but this hasn't really been thought through. It did look a little as though we were just staying at a friends house.

We paid extra for a sea view but as our room was on the corner of the building you could just about see the sea but mostly it was just the busy main road.

The "spa" area of the hotel is referred to as a health club but we weren't impressed at all. The layout means you have to walk through the fitness area to get to the pool from the changing rooms which is a bit embarrassing! This whole area was very cheap looking and not what you expect in a spa hotel, if I had paid for one of their pricey spa weekend packages I would of felt extremely ripped off.

The breakfast included is fairly nice, a standard offering of hot and cold food so can't complain about that. Staff were friendly enough and everything was clean and tidy.

Overall the location of this hotel was the best feature, it was comfortable enough but I wouldn't stay again.

Room Tip: Make sure you actually get your sea view!
