“Pier what pier”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

If you have a very good imagination or perhaps an old postcard you may enjoy your visit.Used to be the better of the two piers but it was left to crumble into the channel and set ablaze.Where have the famous starlings gone??

“West Pier Brighton - is no more burnt out”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

Brighton Place Pier in this picture is lovely but the west pier has been burnt out and is just an iconic shell sitting out in the sea now! worth a look as you walk along the esplanade though...lots shops and cafes along here

“What Pier?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

Need I say more? A pitful reminder of what was there. The area around there is fairly seedy, although the stalls under under the esplanade at least give a point of interest. I know this sound pretty downbeat, but I have spent a lot of time in the area and I think an opportunity was lost in not restoring the pier whilst it was possible. An area that could be fabulous is now a backwater. Still, this is only a small slice of Brighton and Hove and I love the place.

“Sadly gone”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

The pier has been a mere set of wooden posts for a long time now and a reminder of what was once an amazing peice of victorian architecture.

“A beautiful wreck”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

As a big fan of British seaside piers this burnt-out shell should bring sadness, yet it can't be denied it has a beauty of it's own. It's probably become Brighton's most iconic and photographed landmark.
