Its a gimmick but expensive for what is really a half mile bit of track to a Marina that has little to offer other than a large Asda and more bars / restaurants

My husband and I used this quaint little train on a recent trip from our B&B to the marina. I haven't been on anything like this since I was a child and it was so much fun! At £3.10 for a return it was value for money. My only criticism is that there was only 1 train working and so you had to wait up to 30mins and when you buy your ticket they don't tell you if it's already full or not and so if the que is long you are not sure whether you will get on or not. Other wise it was great!

The low speed makes it a very pleasant way to spend 10 minutes to get from the Marina to close to the palace Pier. I wonder if the inventor 'Magnus Volk' could have foreseen just how long his railway would continue transporting people. Nice to take visiting friends and family on for a quick jaunt.

Short journey, £6 + for family ticket (return), small children would like it; takes you from Marina to pier and back . Unless you are a train fanatic, number 7 bus is better value!
