This is such an iconic building in Brighton, and you can't avoid seeing at some point when wandering around the city. However, you'll be surprised at the interior, which is very impressive and one of the most unusual palace interiors in Europe.

Certainly worth a visit, and don't miss the cafe upstairs for an excellent selection of teas (and cakes too!).

“Regency extravagance and bling”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

We went to pass some time on a cold foggy afternoon in Brighton. The rooms are a study of extravagance and indulgence. We found the tour guide interesting and helpful for background.
The tea room is nice but as it was half way round our audio guide went flat before we had finished tea.
It is quite expensive for an attraction that only lasts an hour.

“Beautiful inside and out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2014 via mobile

Really enjoyed our trip to the pavilion. We stopped by on a rainy afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the building, as well as the quality of the audio tour guide. The rooms are spectacular and it's interesting to hear how each was created and has since been restored/maintained.

“Opulent and spectacular”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

This was a great surprise. We'd read about the Pavilion but had no idea just how spectacular some of the rooms are. The audio tour was very good with lots of optional extra sections to fill in the details. The Pavilion looks great from the outside and is even better inside!

“A World Apart”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Externally it appears as a Disney creation, even if a little faded, but inside you put all reality to one side - it is magnificent; it almost gets 5 stars but not quite, although I find it difficult to say why? Perhaps it is the route round, it is long and can be busy, and there is no real opportunity to take a break until you get to the tea room which is deep in the building on the first floor. However what you see is amazing design and decoration - a must.

The audio guide is superb, as is the guidebook, essential if you want to recall the interior, as indoor photography is strictly forbidden.

The adjacent buildings including the museum are worthy of a visit. Refreshments on site are limited at both locations.
