Totally enjoyable experience. Very much enjoyed walking around the pavillion and listening to the commentary. Every room was so beautifully decorated and full off history. Well worth a visit. It is for people of all ages.

Liked the overall tour, the extravagance of the decor and the fact that restoration work was done to a high standard. A must for a first visit to Brighton

Fascinating building and contents, well worth the time. Very good cafe with lovely teas, although quite expensive.

I had not visited the Royal Pavilion for over 10 years so when I visited Brighton last weekend with my husband and daughter I thought it was worth a revisit. I was not disappointed and in fact it was better than I remembered. The audio guides are included in the entry price and are well worth getting as they allow you to hear details about each room at your own pace. My daughter enjoyed listening to the commentaries and viewing the pictures displayed on the audio display panel. The rooms are breathtaking especially the banqueting room with the dragon chandelier and the stunning music room,. The various pagodas on display designed by Geraldine Pilgrim were an added bonus, the fairground one in the music room unexpectedly burst into music which was charming.
Tip: You can get a 10% discount on the entrance price if you print off vouchers on the internet

I enjoyed a very interesting and informative 2 plus hours exploring the ground floor and taking in the splendours of a remarkable building. Being mobility impaired I found that there was a complete lack of seating in the areas I visited. At reception they did find a chair for me to sit on when I arrived and the staff were great and before departure, which was brilliant. Although I was unable to go upstairs due to absolute exhaustion due to standing so long, perhaps seating for the mobility impaired could be provided.
I highly recommend anyone to visit the time you spend is up to you.
On the downside is the number of parties, schools and students, who seem oblivious to solo or family groups and just push and shove their way through and have really no interest in the visit at all, this spoils it for those who are genuinely interested in the building and its history.
Even with the wet cold weather the grounds do credit to the local authority.
