“Spectacular decoration inside and out”

Great place to walk around for an hour or so....do take the audio tour and listen to the extra sections as they are interesting. Really interesting to learn about George - Prince Regent and his lavish way of life. The kitchen is my favourite room ....lots of space and copper pans. I went with my boyfriend and it followed a walk on the Pier and followed by lunch in the North Lanes....a great day out.

“Brilliant place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

This is an extraordinary place to visit, you'll never see a historic house like it. Dragons on the ceilings, onion shaped domes, lush interiors and a WW1 hospital. We are regular visitors, never get bored of the place as we always see something new.

“A life-experience not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

For anyone who is interested in the lives of English monarchs, or for those who just want to be awed by amazing decor, ornamentation and architecture, the Royal Pavilion at Brighton should be on your bucket list. From its over-the-top exterior architecture to the interiors furnished in chinoiserie and Regency antiques, this getaway basically furnished and conceived by George IV (it was built before he got to it but he made it into what it is today) is amazing. Even children will be awed by the dragons and the soaring chandeliers and the attention to every detail. The new voice tours bring the place to life in an amazing way. And after your tour you can enjoy food in their lovely little restaurant/tearoom. EVERYONE should visit the Royal Pavilion if possible, because it will add to your understanding of the period in which it was built and used and it is a delight for the senses. On a drab and gray English winter day I came away uplifted and excited.
