“My favourite park!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I live nearby and love Preston Park. It's very well maintained and I've taken numerous photos of the flowers!

“A disappointing welcome to Brighton!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Preston Park was once the most colourful, welcoming gateway into Brighton. The flower beds were always alive with colour and variety. Sadly, these days they seem to be filled with 'wild flowers' (some might say weeds!) Whether this is down to the current party running the Council, I'm not sure, but it's disappointing after the wonderful displays that have always been some of the best on the South Coast.
The greens do provide space for sports and games and there are tennis courts as well as a variety of lovely buildings dotted around the park but the flower beds, which are a vital part of one's overall impression, are such a let down!

“Community spirit”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

We were impressed to see a business set up in the park for people wanting to keep fit. Personal trainers supporting individuals and groups in various parts of the park in the fresh air without having to pay expensive gym prices makes sense.
Good use of space; Wildlife garden, tennis and a cafe. More benches would help, ideally under trees for those hot days.

“Never the first week of August”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

The Pride "experienced" takes Brighton over and once Preston Park is finished with it looks like The Somme and disgusting - but when its normality of nature love and period its delightful
