“quirky, fun, lots of food and vintage clothes”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

More interesting than the lanes, less pricey and more character, with lots of street art, vintage clothes, records, cafes, cool pubs and musical instrument stores.

“buzzing”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

Lots to look at, quirky shops and places to eat, and a pleasant alternate route to the station. Give yourself plenty of time, almost a meander.

“Laine or Lanes? No Contest.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

In the past I have enjoyed the Lanes but to me they have changed and not for the better, The North Laine is now the hotspot. The atmosphere, variety and the people makes it well worth a visit. I was delighted to see so many vegetarian cafes and restaurants in such close proximity. Enjoyable.
