As well as the regular exhibits, there was an exhibition of Jeff Koons' work. This was fascinating as I hadn't come across his work before. There is an excellent 'local history' section with audio interviews with local people talking about their war experiences. A great mixture of local and international exhibits.

We walked here from Brighton along the seafront from Kemp Town. It took about an and was a lovely walk taking in the varied seafront and the dramatic West Pier. If you do walk when you reach the leisure centre that's when you need to head into Hove. The museum is a 5 min walk from the seafront and clearly signed. Children would particularly like the 'wizard's attic' where toys through the ages are displayed originally. We enjoyed the origins of film room too. The museum is small but an afternoon could easily be filled, possibly broken up with something in the light airy cafe where there is a good choice of savouries (hot and cold) and sweets.

A lovely fun and well kept museum, suited for all ages has Exhibition galleries that change every 6 or so months, has a wizards attic full of retro toys for the kids to see and interact with and a delightful tearoom with friendly staff to have afternoon tea and watch the world go by! Free entrance is a must see

I visited this gallery with my daughter, it had a special exhibition on plus the normal collection. The cafe/restuarant is full of paintings and the food was excellent. The staft were very friendly.

small museum with a few quite nice objects, yet there are some not really worth being in a museum. Price is o.k.
