“Exceptional Views”

Caught a bus to Devils Dyke open topped a bit cool but well worth the discomfort for the views over Brighton & scenery on our climb up once up at the dyke a walk over the Downs watching people enjoying the day walking dogs, flying kites, hand gliding & picnicking.
The scenery was spectacular

“Devil's dyke”

Try devil's dyke for a couples or family outing.A good walk in the English countryside.Scenic views.A decent pub.Created during the last glacial period or by the devil because there were too many churches?

“Stunning View!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

Devil's Dyke offers a gorgeous view of Brighton. There's a nice little walking trail if you want to enjoy an afternoon out. It's a popular place for hang gliding and horseback riding as well. Well worth the visit if you are looking for a nice stroll in the country.

“Devil's Dyke Hotel/Pub”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

We just visited this place at lunchtime today after a very enjoyable long walk. Really looking forward to some food and a beer in the midst of this fantastic setting. Sadly we were brought back down to earth with a jolt when we ordered bacon and melted brie toasted sandwiches, chips and some olives. They took over 15 to arrive and were cold! The waitress didn't bring any knives and forks, servettes or sauces and said she'd bring them later! I had to go in search of these items myself. The olives tasted of disinfectant and were unedible. We will certainly visit the area again but will stay clear of this rather dark, dingy and poor quality pub.
