I have been up on to the Dyke numerous times to walk my furry friend. The views are spectacular both to the north and the south. Be prepared and wrap up, it can be bitterly cold. The pub at the top serves a good Sunday roast and is well located to meet up with friends and family from all directions.
The carpark can get very busy and is now a pay and display, be warned.

My husband and I visit Devil's Dyke often when we want a breath of fresh country air followed by a cozy time at the Devil's Dyke Tavern. There are many paths and trails to walk in the area, wonderful views of the Sussex countryside and the seaside in the distance. It's easy to get to by the 77 bus in Brighton so a car isn't necessary to visit. It does get very busy most weekends, and on sunny days there will likely be para-gliders out.

We walked some 5 miles on Boxing Day, fantastic meal, service a bit slow as you may expect at the festive season. Good enough to book again this year!

Lovely place to visit if you want some fresh air & open space.
The views are outstanding & you can see for miles.
It's a safe place for dogs & children to run around.
