We visited the pier with 2 things in mind, play on the arcades, and go to the fair. We thought the arcades were great, if you like that sort of thing - which we do. We then bought tokens for the fair. Quite expensive, but a fair. Some of the ride operators were better than others, but mostly friendly and up beat. Had a coffee at MooMoo's and donuts later at one of the kiosks. If the weather is bad, the fair wouldn't be much fun, but there is the arcades and the restaurant so plenty to occupy you whether it is raining or sunny.

Every time we visit Brighton its a must to go on the pier :-) love watching the waves crashing on a windy wet day. And in the summer sitting watching all the tourists on the beach and the seagulls.
