Loads of choice now with some great restaurants and free parking. Brighton is a pain for a car driver so the Marina is a welcome relief and the kids get to look at loads of lo Ely boats as well

We arrived here today as part of a day out from Hastings. The place is quite what I'd expect of a modern retail village with the usual shops, fast food, restaurant chains and cinema. That said, the shops for sell some quirky and unusual gifts which made for interesting shopping. A word of caution if you've never been by bus, the pick up point is down the road at McDonald's!

Walked from centre of Brighton to the marina fair walk passing the nudist beach. There is a train which runs regularly . We walked past travellers caravans tied up dogs and unattended children the scenery was anything but lovely it was run down lots of graffiti. We walked through a concrete car park down a tunnel then faced with fast food places. Walking along and a cross the road the board walk with a few shops and large ASDA not what I thought it would be like. Over the other side a few restaurants looking over the marina. Basically it's a concrete jungle very disappointing.

We birth our boat there. It is a lovely big marina with loads to offer. Choose bowling, eating out, shopping or having a drink.
