“Fantastic Value For Money”
Reviewed July 29, 2010

This hotel is fantastic value for money, located right on the seafront, it has a bar on the ground floor and a club in the basement both of which are ideal for a great night. Breakfast is included in the price of the room which is a selection cereal and juice's followed by a full english which was delicious. Hotel rooms are very clean and fresh all with en-suite. Only problem i encountered was connecting to he wifi in the room i was in but i was told this problem was being sorted. Will be back as soon as i get the time off work.

My partner took me here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Newly refurbished the hotel feels clean and bright everywhere. My partner asked for champagne and chocolates to be placed in our room which was done beautifully with no fuss at all. The best thing though was the view. The hotel is on the sea front and our room looked out directly onto the pier. We were blessed with glorious weather and in the day the view was like a postcard and at night it was beautiful with the pier lit up and the moon reflected in the sea. The hotel has a bar and club for residents and non-residents. Both were perfectly sized and had a relaxed friendly vibe. It's a while since we'd been clubbing and the Legends club was great for dipping our toe back in. We had a great night and no expensive cab fare home - just a walk upstairs to our room!
The staff were friendly and professional and really seemed to care that we had a good stay. I will certainly make a point of always staying at Legends whenever I go back to Brighton!

If you are looking for great value, seaside venue, sun terrace, friendly service, great bar open until the small hours, a basement club for the guys and gals, then you have found it.No more putting up with second best just because it is gay.Truly to be recommended.

Our room was presented to a really high standard - simple but stylish and clean. We were on the first floor and had an unbeatable view of the seafront.
Like other reviewers, I agree that the noise from the bar downstairs can be loud but I slept through it so can't say that it bothered me. The place is obviously popular (esp with gay men/caberet scene) and welcomes everybody.
The flat-screen tv only has five channels, but I was happy with that - who needs tv with a view like that??
The en-suite toilet/shower in our room was a bit small (if you are there with a partner that probably won't bother you because you can leave the door open) but my two single friends who shared a room found it a bit like being shut a wardrobe! The toilet and shower were clean and they provide shampoo and shower gel, plus towels of course.
By the way, the sandwiches from the bar are really nice (only £3.90) plus they'll mix n match if you can't decide on the fillings - you pay extra for chips, but still good value for money in Brighton.
The (veggie) breakfast on the first morning was lovely. The second morning wasn't quite as perfect, but the staff are really helpful and polite. No complaints there.
We will definitely stay there again. I've visited Brighton many times and rate this as one of the best hotels I've stayed in. We paid about £80 per night.
As with many hotels in this area, there no no free parking.

Just returned from 4 great nights in Brighton. As always, Legends was amazing! The location along the seafront, and just just up the hill from the Pier, cannot be beat and all memebers of staff, from hotel management, bartenders and cleaning crew are very friendly and personable. You won't find any robotic corporate staff here.

The hotel has both basic and updated luxury rooms. For this trip, I stayed in a basic room along the front of the hotel. Views of the coastline and pier, both day and night, are amazing. Although Marine Parade is a busy road, it's almost as if there's no traffic. Unlike home in New York City, I never heard a horn of any kind....it's pretty bizarre. English drivers must be very polite! My only complaint about the room: of the 3 windows, only the center opens and that opens only about 6 inches. The ability to open all three would create an amazing cross-breeze. Hotel management offered a window fan but I'd much prefer a natural breeze. Hopefully they'll 'unstick' the side windows in the future.

If you're looking for a quiet spa weekend, look elsewhere, the Brighton seafront is not your best choice. If you're looking for the best hotel location in Brighton, along with a fun, friendly staff, check yourself into Legends! I can't wait to return....

Hi...My girlie Jane & myself have just returned from yet another visit to Brighton & again stayed in our favourite place.....Legends Hotel. This time we've decided to write about it! Apart from its fabulous location just by the pier, the rooms, the food, the staff, the atmosphere, even most of the people that go there make it such a great place, always a lovely atmosphere, whether you just wanna chill inside on a sofa with a beer, dance on the floor in the club or soak up some rays outside (whilst having more beer!) its a buzzing place!! Thanks again to the guys that make it so.....hope to see you very soon....roll on the visit!!! Sarah, Bournemouth

on arriving at the hotel, we were met at the bar as the reception is,nt at first obvious. checked in, easy. room found tho slighty disappointed with the size. met the suprise in the toilet left by a the guest before, nice.
in the evening we thought we would go and have a drink before hitting the town, big mistake, £10 for 2 vodka coke,s. that would have come to £5 in my local bar. anyway left and had a night on the town, come back to the night club down stairs due to open. had a look, but decided bed was in order. ( yeah right) could of carried the party on in my room, the music was so loud i could feel it. even with ear plugs in i could still hear it. 5 in the morning you get to hear someone say time. and then all is still for what seemed like 10 minutes maybe more. was there an after party? or was it the cleaners? think i actually managed about 1 1/2 sleep if that. could,nt get out of that hotel fast enough. its not value for money, rooms are tiny and the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. am i going again. NEVER.
