This hotel is very central to many attractions and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the view from our room was great looking out over the ocean. The bar area is very nice as well and you can sit inside or outside, so there's seating for everyone's preference.

Room Tip: There is no pool here, and we did not eat here so I cannot rate the food.

Stayed here, great location and friendly staff. Stayed here for a night room sizes are good and the bathrooms a ok size. I sleep late so the noise did not bother me as much and past midnight I did not hear to much anyway.

Liked the look of this place and we were not disappointed. From the outset, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a superior room which had an indirect sea view from a large side bay window (fine with us as it was big enough to sit in). The room was large and the on-suite a little on the small side but perfectly functional.
We were aware that there could be a bit of noise from the club and we could hear it a bit but it certainly wasn't loud enough to bother us. The bar downstairs was great fun with helpful and friendly staff again and it stays open til 5am (not sure if that's every night). We had full breakfasts which were the usual fare but well cooked and tasty.
The was a diverse mix of clientele and the whole place felt like a friendly, local club. Great position and view and price.
Me and Mrs Me had a lovely stay of (sadly) only two nights but we would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Away from the club side unless you are a complete party animal.

Recently stayed for a long weekend. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We go to Brighton 4 times a year and have stayed in a lot of hotels, we will only be booking the legends from now on! Amazing sea views. Breakfast was outstanding! Room was lovely, not huge but sufficient for what we needed. Can't wait to return!

I stayed one night on business. The greeting on arrival was great, the room was a bit on the small side but very adequate and spotlessly clean. Absolutely cracking view of the sea, and pier from the window. But alas, the noise from the club let it down. Having had a long journey, I decided on an early night but was woken in the early hours by the noise from the bar and in particular, the bouncers at the front door below. Should have double checked the hotel details, because in retrospect it quite clearly says its a club/bar. Having said that, if you are in Brighton for leisure and want to have fun - this is for you. Great location, nice people and very good rooms and great value for money

Room Tip: The rooms with sea views are above the patio below and was rather noisey.

Dear WestWalesHorse,

Thank you for the review.
Just a quick note, we are a leisure hotel but we do have quite a lot of business customers. If you are on business and it's a weekday (Sun to Thur), just mention it in the comments box and we'll put you on a high floor. If you forget, just ask at reception.

Kind Regards,
Reece & Arran

This is essentially a club and bar with a hotel above. Our room (luxury loft at front) was very spacious, pleasantly furnished, neutrally but smartly decorated, with a very comfortable king bed. The bathroom suffered a bit from design over substance (i.e. taking a shower meant you washed the bathroom floor at the same time) but that's true of many updated hotels. On the whole, however, the accommodation (and location) was a great plus. And because we were on the top floor, we were undisturbed by the noise of the road outside or the music downstairs as the night wore on. If the rating was based on this alone then it would get another star. But it lets itself down on 2 fronts. Firstly, with the brilliant exception of the Polish female member of staff, nobody else was seriously service-orientated. Secondly, this really manifested itself over the feeble breakfast offering. Sorry, guys, a full English with toast and little packets of cereal tucked at the end of the bar, are not the only requirements of a breakfast when spending more than £150 per night - especially if served by people who have as much enthusiasm as they can muster when they look as if they've been in the club all night. Legends bills itself as the "UK's finest gay hotel"; and very sadly that just might be true. When are we going to get some entrepreneurs who can learn from, just as 2 examples, German and US B&B's/hotels who fall over one another in trying to provide genuine excellence to the gay and hetero-friendly market?

Room Tip: Don't even think of being on the first or second floor if you want to sleep after 2am

Legends is a mid sized hotel above a bar and club. It's perfectly positioned on the seafront by the pier with a short walk to the town centre. We treated ourselves to a suite for (£149 including breakfast) and we're not disappointed. The welcome is exceptionally warm and all staff were engaging and friendly - service is excellent. Room 208 has double aspect windows with spectacular views across the beach, sea and the pier - beautiful day and night. The rooms are large and well specified, the massive bed comfy, and wifi is free and easy, and the free cabaret in the downstairs bar looked like a hoot. We took earplugs just in case due to the nightclub in the basement but did not need them. Breakfast is of good quality. Great place for a short break.
