“Fun but lacks attention to detail”

Overall, we really enjoyed our trip to the Pellirocco but there were certainly issues.

We stayed in the Bettie Page room, which felt like no one had really thought about it's design beyond acquiring bits to put in the room. The wasn't a plug socket near any of the available mirrors so drying your hair is fairly challenging. There's a TV but it faces the middle of the room so to watch it you either have to move furniture or sit on the floor. And we had a balcony which was nice but basically just for smokers because there aren't chairs out there so pretty much all you can do it stand for a while then come inside again.
Buttons were falling off the upholstery and a few knobs had fallen off the dresser which made the room look like it needed some TLC.
There weren't any robes in the room which is a little luxury I always look forward to.

On the first day, we didn't have any milk in our room (which I'm sure was just an oversight) and the receptionist gave us a little jug of fresh milk which was lovely. My problem with that is that whoever cleaned the room the remaining milk in the room for all of the (hot) following day and when we returned, it had morphed into a solid jug of smelly doom.

Oh and breakfast wasn't included which I think is a little cheap when you're paying £145 a night.

There were certainly good points though! The bar was well decorated and I had one of the best cocktails of my life. Both the receptionists we spoke to her friendly and helpful, and the location is great.

I think the place could be vastly improved by paying less attention to the "rock and roll" and a little more to the "hotel" because a few quick, cheap and easy fixes could make a good hotel a great one.

I really do love this place, although I;ve never actually stayed here, but I have spent many an hour in the hotel bar, listening to great music, sipping fantastic cocktails and hearing the guests rave about the rooms

When you stay in bland, beige soulless hotel rooms on a regular basis for business trips you do t expect too much from many hotels but I LOVED this hotel.

I am not going to say it was perfect as some of the decor was tired with peeling paint dusty skirting boards but you can forgive them this due to the fact there is nowhere quite like it, I will most certainly be heading back to sample another room. I had the MOD themed room which was fab x

For a quick visit to Brighton I was recommended to look for a hotel in the Regent square area – very central, historical and just by the sea. Looking for a hotel I came across Pelirocco, and their claim to “the best rock’n’roll hotel in England” as well as screaming pink website really appealed.

I arrived from London Heathrow by bus, which stopped right near the Regent square. The hotel totally met expectations in terms of amusiement : decadent, quirky, fashionable and ironic, the rooms are all different and created by various designers, there are local artist works/ exhibitions in the premises, a funky bar area, which easily becomes a fashionable spot on the weekends.

You may choose a room on the website, and I was surprised at how inexpensive they are in terms of an idea of a boutique hotel.
My girly ironic “do KNIT disturb” room with all furniture and accessories knitted by Kate Cardigan was any girl’s delight: spacious enough, very light, very comfortable bed. The breakfast was great and there was someone’s 21st party with the bar full of classy boys in shirts and pretty girls. DJ was surprisingly good, I wouldn’t expect anything like this at a hotel, then I learned Pelirocco even has their radio show.
Having such a package of the environment, design, location, food and entertainment - it’s much more than just a hotel – it’s a mini version of Brighton: homey, charming and full of young spirit and creativity. Absolutely recommend.

Amazing place. This town house with street parking outside and a safe NCP carpark opposite is a brilliant place to stay to get into the Brighton vibe. Everything is themed from rock n roll to boudoir from the moment you arrive. We stayed in the suite "playroom" which was hilarious - a pole to swing around on, a round bed, a Roman style bath...I won't spoil it all, but if you love something different but don't want to compromise on a good dollop of luxury when you go away, then you should enjoy this hotel. You feel very welcome at the hotel yet distant enough for it to feel like a hotel (as opposed to a guest house). It would be a great place to base a hen/stag do from as it is very close to Brighton center and is on the sea front, virtually.

Room Tip: Play room is worth the extra!

We came here in May 2013 and stayed in the Pin Up Parlour. It was a large room however it was a bit tired. Paint peeling and quite dusty. We went into the bathroom and there was no soap... It just felt like they hadn't taken the time to spruce it up for a while.
Enjoyed my sausage butty for breakfast.
It was a bit of a walk to the main area of Brighton with all the restaurants and bars however Greco, a Greek restaurant, was a few doors away and was amazing!
Really enjoyed the Singstar room too although I ordered a cocktail that evening too and the bar man said he didn't know how to make it so can I choose another one. Not what I expected!

Amazing value for money, amazing location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff - no complaints whatsoever! All the rooms are themed and have their own quirks and you can see photos of them all on the website to choose which one you want.

Room Tip: Dollywould is very big with a double bed and a single bed and looks onto the square/sea. Bowery is s...
