We were welcomed like old friends at reception without it feeling intrusive and the staff over our stay were friendly and helpful and happy to make recommendations of where to go and how to get there. Amy who checked us in was perky and chatty which was great after a long journey. The room we had was clean, fun and had some great Ren bathroom goodies to use. Breakfast was served quickly and was tasty with unlimited fruit juice and cereal. The vibe is probably not to the tastes of older or business travellers per se, but was spot on for our fun overnight stay. Definitely stay here again next time if only to try out one of the other themed rooms and the karaoke bar, can't wait!

Nice enough hotel & brilliant location! Breakfast was lovely lots of choice.
Stayed in pin up parlour room, good detail however, close up it looked like 60 minute make up team had been in there and everything was a bit shabby. Not enough attention to detail. Was also bit dusty. massive stain on the carpet in the middle of the floor. Shower room was tiny. The tv didn't work to start off with, after it was fixed still couldn't get any reception. I thought it was quite pricey for what it was. Staff were nice and friendly.

Fair warning: This hotel isn't for everyone. If you want some posh lodging with classical music playing in the lobby, go elsewhere.

This hotel is really more of a bed and breakfast type of stay, because breakfast (the menu is AMAZING!!) is included in the price of your stay. Each room has a theme, and I personally stayed in the Soul Room. Purple walls, vinyl records (and player!) and a large and VERY comfortable bed. I'd call this hotel a "dive" but must emphasize how clean and comfortable the room was. The ocean is a block away, and you are a few minutes walk from the Brighton Pier (both the burnt down and still standing piers) as well as shopping, food, etc.

The prices were amazing (stayed on a Thursday night) and keep in mind they do include breakfast.

Room Tip: More of a "choose your own adventure" as far as rooms go - whatever decor you prefer, go f...

We absolutely loved Hotel Pelirocco. It was in a brilliant location and we were lucky to have the Mod Room, which was beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The bar/dining area was just gorgeous and decorated in funky pink tones and breakfast was huge and delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and informative. We ended up staying an extra night in Brighton so that we could stay longer at Hotel Pelirocco.

We stayed last Saturday night. The Staff were helpful but undermanned. That was the high point of out stay.
Room had smallest king sized bed ever, looked like a small double. There was no remote for the tiny TV. The first bottle of wine was off.
Room information listed a number of services that are no longer offered.
And the worst thing was the “couple” in the room above who stomped across our ceiling all night long, from 2am till 8:30. No sleep and not fun.
You have been warned……..

Room Tip: If you want to sleep, try another hotel.

It is most refreshing to stay in a hotel like this with individual original and quirky decor in every room and the public areas. My room had every facility that one would expect in a hotel of this standard, except that my particular room lacked shelves and drawers. Everything was perfectly clean and worked, though the lighting was fairly low. It was useful to have direct fast wifi access in the room.
Service was excellent and I found all the staff particulary friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was more than ample and the food was good.
I was very happy with my 2-night stay and would certainly recommend the Pelirocco to my friends.

Room Tip: Rooms on upper floors and at the back are likely to be quieter as they are further from the ground f...

For originality, warmth, humour and fabulous service this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It's such a joy to find somewhere that celebrates individuality and fun over 'chain store' predictability. It's deliberately different but not in an exclusive or arrogant way – everyone's made to feel so welcome and there's nothing intimidating about its strong personality. It's quirky and wonderfully outrageous at times but wit and warmth are its biggest features. The breakfasts are as fabulous as everyone says – an imaginative menu with a very civilised later slot at weekends. You don't have to tear yourself away from your amazing themed bedroom until 11 on Saturdays and Sundays.

All in all this hotel flies the flag for independents everywhere. Visit it – you'll never want to stay in somewhere that looks the same in Brighton as it does in Blackpool or Birmingham or Bristol again.
