“The place to stay in Brighton!”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

My daughter and I would like to thank Andy and Matt for a fabulous stay at their B&B. You made sure we were happy throughout our stay and spoilt us rotten with lots of lovely choccy, biscuit and cake goodies in our room! On the bed when I arrived was box of chocolates and a birthday card waiting for me - what a lovely surprise! Our room was very luxurious, which included a roll top bath in the en-suite! There was also bathrobes and slippers provided to help us unwind, perfect! Breakfast was the best breakfast I have had with plenty of choices to choose from. We were given a map showing us places to visit, drink and eat which we found very useful, and will keep for next time we visit Brighton. I plan to stay at The Twenty One again next year. (Tina & Bianca Potter)

Room Tip: Room 3 I believe is the best room, which also gives you a sea view.

Me and my fiance stayed here on friday to celebrate her birthday. I mentioned this on the phone when booking and asked for some roses in our room for an extra £10. Not only did we get the roses but my fiance got a birthday card and box of chocolates on her pillow - a really lovely touch. Our room was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated and breakfast was enough to sustain us through to dinner time. Add to this the complimentary homemade fudge cake and drink on arrival, bottles of water in the mini bar, generous snack basket by the kettle and Matt and Andy's ever friendly service and anything less that 5 stars would be a grave injustice.

From the welcome to the departure every detail was perfectly catered for; immaculate facility throughout, complimentary biscuits AND cakes, superb array of breakfast choice, nothing was too much trouble. Matt and Andy even left us a box of chocs for our anniversary celebration! It would be remiss not to mention their ever helpful advice of where to go and what to do in the locality. Truly friendly and sociable hosts. This is why after much experience, we feel the title of this review is appropriate. We were extremely impressed, thanks guys!

Room Tip: Recommend liaising direct with Matt and Andy for room advice as they are proven honest and helpful.

Having stayed in Brighton each year for the past 8 years, I can tell you, our stay with The Twenty-One was hands down the best. Hospitality is their forte. Matt and Andy are the most gracious of hosts. They had wonderful advice at the ready for places to eat and things to see. Breakfast is superb-all of it! My husband had an English breakfast each morning and I had lighter fare with coffee. We stayed for 5 nights, as we have friends and family in town, and then scooted off to Devon for a week to return for a final evening's stay before flying home to the states. We booked a double room with ensuite which was spotless and extremely comfortable. The view of the sea was great and the floor to ceinling bay windows were a delight to open each day for the sea air. Matt and Andy are overly gracious in every detail. The hospitality tray, filled with Tonning's chocolates and cakes, is amazing! Appologies boys for completely destroying our room's assortment on the first night. I felt like a kid in a candy store! They have thoughtfully placed a mini fridge with still and sparkling water, chilled wine glasses, and bottle opener in the room along with an electric kettle. This was invaluable for that morning cuppa. The location is superb. Just off St. James' Street and Charlotte, it is close enough to walk to The Lanes for shopping but far enough away from the all-night clubbers. King's Road has become very noisy now that the clubs can stay open all night. Honestly, it's like the new Ibiza! There are plenty of great pubs and restaurants and boutiques around and for those of you who are runners, there's a great run along the promenade down past both piers. My husband is a Brighton boy and we currently live in Colorado, USA. He knows those stomping grounds and we have previously stayed at large hotels like The Ship and The Albion. Both were more than disappointing over the years. They have chosen to rest on their laurels. The Twenty-One is impeccable with regard to hospitality, cuisine, and cleanliness. Kudos to Matt and Andy for achieving a truly coveted standing in the community! We'll see you in April!

Absolutely the best B&B we have stayed in. The location is just far enough from the centre of Brighton to be quiet but easily close enough for all the amenities. Matt and Andy are the perfect hosts, making you feel at home straight away in their extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated property. Breakfast is the best you will find.Everything about our stay was excellent. Highly recommended, do not look any further for your B&B.

The Twenty One is one of the best B&B's in which we have ever stayed. Matt and Andy think of every detail - from the beautifully decorated and comfortable, cheery rooms to all the little amenities they provide. Breakfasts were delicious with many choices - including daily fresh fruit selection - and don't miss the pancakes (they were the greatest)!

The owners were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and extremely professional. They clearly know how to make travelers feel comfortable in their home and we felt very fortunate to have chosen this B&B for our Brighton stay!

Me, my wife and 1 year old stayed 2 nights here and found it to be brilliant. The room(no6) was a great size. They had lots of goodies on the side and the fridge was stocked with water. Breakfast was cooked to near perfection and there was a great selection. They even let me and my girl eat earlier than usual as it was the day the clocks changed and she was very hungry early. All in all I would highly recommend staying. Thanks guys. Harry and family.
