Andrew and Jarvis were lovely - both super helpful and very patient : ). The hotel is comfortable as well as being value for money (great breakfast included in the price). I would definitely try and stay here when in Brighton

Stayed at The Oriental Hotel in Brighton on 8th February, we got a warm and welcoming greeting from Andrew the manager and that set the tone for our entire stay, The room we stayed at was absolutely beautifully decorated, breakfast was served in the lounge / dining room / bar which was decorated to impress with its funky tables, chairs and bar area and excellent service.
We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Brighton and by far The Oriental Hotel is the best for Location, Quality of Room and definately quality of service.

Room Tip: the only tip i have is to recommend the hotel

We stayed for three nights at The Oriental and liked it very much.
First of all Andrew and the staff was very helpful and kind. Our room had a lovely bed and we felt at home immediately. The breakfest tasted good and involved both fruit, berries, yoghurt, muesli and an english breakfest. On the plane back to Sweden we talked about going back to Brighton in a warmer season. And surely we would like to stay at The Oriental again.

I couldn't fault any of it. They made you feel so welcome and comfortable during our stay. It was just a shame I came down with server flu the night we stayed. So was unable to try out the breakfast, but everything else really impressed me and especially with the price. Recommend to all my friends and family.

We stayed for two nights and I would say for this type of 'boutique' hotel, the price was really good. The only downside is the additional cost of parking (around £12.50 for 24 hours in the nearby car parks).
We stayed in room 5 (medium double). This is situated upstairs at the back of the hotel, so not much to look at out of the window. Anyway, it's a good room and comfy bed. The wife said she hadn't slept so well for ages.
Friendly & helpful staff. Great breakfast to set you up for a day of wandering the Lanes.

Booked a last minute trip to Brighton in February, and decided to book at The Oriental after reading the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, as well as what was a great price. The Oriental was brilliant. I phoned them a couple of times before booking to check a couple of things and each time they were really friendly and helpful. We checked in late, but the host (Andrew) kept the reception open especially for us, and was very helpful in offering us advice on parking our car. The room was also really good. Simple, but classic. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, big TV. Cool. Breakfast was included in the price, and really was excellent. The breakfast room is small, but furnished well. Service again, first class. Hotel location was good enough... But the thing with Brighton is nowhere is really that far away, so you can't go wrong wherever you stay really. Overall, a great stay, I would certainly recommend this hotel.
