Having read some of the negative reviews I was a little apprehensive but we were very happy with this hotel. We had secured a very good price with Booking.com and thought it was excellent value. OK, there is a slight air of shabbiness about the place and the rather odd wickerwork furniture wasn't to our taste but our room had everything we needed - plenty of wardrobe and storage space, large bathroom with good range of toiletries and very efficient shower and fast-filling bath. We had a grim view over fire escapes but that did mean that it was quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was really good with a huge choice and it was pleasant to eat by the window looking at the sea. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the location is very central.
