We were visiting Brighton quickly and were surprised of the beer drinking youngsters, quite party-party place. Therefore this nice little tearoom near pier was a treasury. We had our breakfast and bought some cake. Friendly service and nicely furnitured.

really lovely and sweet cafe, perfect place for a tea and scone on mothers day, or just with your friends at lunch, nice prices and very traditional teapots, sugar cubes and homemade cakes, nice quiet atmosphere and easy location.

I went to this gorgeous cafe because it had been recommended by a friend and I wasn't disappointed. I had the 'bunny rabbit' which is Welsh rarebit on a toasted teacake and it was really delicious and different. I also had the mock turtle tea which was served with milk and extra water. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Would have liked to have tasted one of the delicious-looking cakes - but it was only 9am!

This is a delightful tea room with a wonderful selection of cakes! Don't be put off by its unpretentious external appearance, go inside and treat yourself to a pot of tea and cake. It's cosy, busy and good value for money. Afternoon cream tea, with fruit scones is delish, the scones were warm and tasty. Tea is served in teapots, made with loose leaves (not teabags), in bone china cups with extra hot water being provided without having to be requested. That's a proper tea room in my book.

This legend of Brighton lived up to its reviews for us and we really enjoyed our special teas and cakes - the giant doughnut was especially impressive - its a signature 'dish' - and although it was 'cosy' we got a table and could enjoy the historical tea room atmosphere.
