Authentic Italian food, excellent service, great location overlooking Brighton Marina - this would be even more fantastic in the good weather, as there is the facility for outdoor seating. Must try the Prawn starter - delicious!

Busy in the restaurant last night as it's half term this week.
We both had the VI pizzas, which we like, along with a large Perroni (over £6 so not cheap by anybody's standards) and a bottle of house white which was only 11.5% so it didn't pass the Marje test* but was well chilled and perfectly tasty.
Service was prompt and friendly and the food was good, as it usually is. Bit of a wait to get the bill but nothing untoward.
Plenty of free parking in the marina multi-storey carpark, and the number 7 bus serves the marina at frequent intervals.
In summary, a dependable choice, especially for families.
*Marjorie, an elderly friend, would not allow wine less than 12% to pass her lips! Not the most sophisticated way to judge wine perhaps but it's stayed with us for more than 20 years.....

It was a quiet lunchtime, only two other tables occupied when we arrived. Should have refused a window seat as, when the sun came out, we were roasted. The service was charming. Our first course took ages to arrive so we found ourselves watching the elderly lady across the room. She had a pizza. She struggled with it, seeming to be unable to cut it, while picking at her salad. Eventually she rose, put on her coat and left loudly declaring that she wasn't paying for her salad, either. Our starter finally arrived, baked mushrooms and a green minestrone. The soup was amazing, very thick and tasty, so thick that, as the waitress said it was like a main course. I didn't have much room left for the prawn risotto, two prawns and a couple of chunks of salmon, not that you want much in a risotto and the rice was very tasty. My husband's pizza clunked. He too found it difficult to dismember. We have had beautiful stone-baked pizzas in Italy and joined with the locals in leaving some of the crust, but the whole thing was hard with the merest tribute to topping. How can you cut mushrooms so fine? My soup was definately worth more than his pizza. We didn't stay for dessert and took coffee elsewhere.
