Brighton is a decent place for eating out but this restaurant lifts the standard significantly and is now the one to beat. The food is exquisite and delicate and presented with such care that you spend time just admiring the care taken in presentation before you spoil it by tucking in. Pricey but worth every penny - not to be missed.

My husband and I visted for our wedding anniversary . We would not have found it without trip advisor as we were staying on the otherside of town. We visited at 4.30 on a Saturday afternoon so were the only customers in the restaurant to begin with so the service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive . Both of us are very fussy eaters in our own ways . We were given a lovely ammuse bouch of homemade bread and vegetarian scotch egg which was divine. We had the lamb and figs and lobster to start followed by the mohito sorbet. Then the Fillet of beef and taste of the downs . Lastly orange cake and cheese board with a latte and homemade truffles and a bottle of wine . We were in no way rushed and all the food was amazingly presented and tasted great we both ate things we wouldn't normally eat and enjoyed the new tastes . We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be returning

We visited this restaurant following a recommendation from a friend and looking at trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed as we had a lovely evening and a superb meal. They have quite an unusual choice of meals and all were presented very professionally. The wine is not overly expensive and the staff and service were spot on. It was a Friday evening and had a lovely busy bustley atmosphere. We would recommend it to our friends and will certainly be going back ourselves.

Hard to beat. Very boring exterior ( note to owners making outside more attractive would help-first impressions and all that ). Once inside impeccable service and simply the best food I have eaten in Brighton. Staff were really efficient and charming without being too imposing. We went with our kids and it was a great experience for them who surprisingly are both pretty knowledgable about food. The 2-3 course meal is good value and overall including wine, tip and 3 desserts cost was £140. This was a special occasion But for such exceptionally good food plus super service in a relaxed atmosphere this was good value. If you want a special night out don,t miss this place!

Finally visited this restaurant, after being unable to get a reservation last year when we tried. Was phoned during the day to confirm reservation, and was greeted like an old friend when arriving.
Great decor and atmosphere, wonderful staff - pleasant, unobtrusive and attentive.
Menu was really interesting with mouthwatering dishes. The presentation was fab, sadly my photos did them no justice. Started with lobster croutons, followed by beetroot gnocchi and finally a local cheeses board. After coffees and homemade truffles.
The best meal ever? I can't think of another to beat it. In the words of Arnie "I'll be back!"
