As Brightonians we have eaten at practically everywhere in town.I rate this place as the best. We have eaten here several times. Started with a Groupon voucher- a great way to try new places. We have yet to have an experience that is anything but delicious, to the belly and also to the eye. The attention to detail is amazing, the food is alway gorgeous and the service is friendly and professional, without being pompous. Do yourself a favour and visit. Although don't book Saturdays, as that is the night I like to book and I want to be able to get in.

We have lived in Brighton for 4 years, and eaten at a lot of good restaurants, but just as we are about to leave for good we find this gem of a restaurant. The food is superb, the service is excellent, and they even convinced me to purchase a Romanian Pinot Noir, which is one of the best I have tasted. Although being in Kemp Town, so quite out of our way as we lived in Sevendials, this place is well worth a visit, and we managed to visit it twice before we sold up and left Brighton for good. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Brighton who fancies a quality dining experience. 10 out of 10!!

A non pretentious place serving fantastic food. Lovely looking restaurant with relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was stunning and served with an immaculate level of detail. Great wine choice and the price was also very palatable! Will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends visiting Brighton.

Our meal at st Georges was one of the best we had in the Uk, and we had eaten at some very good restaurants. The maitre d was excellent in his food and wine recommendations but wasn't intrusive during the meal. We ate an entree of pigeon salad with leeks and hazelnuts and a lobster and crayfish salad with saffron mousse and parmesan snow. The presentation of these was a visual delight and then we got to eat them and the tastes were so complementary.
For mains we had a ham wrapped fillet of pork, slow cooked pork belly, fondant potatoes with sweet corn puree and wild mushrooms. This dish sounds rich but the tastes worked so well together. The other main was wild rabbit with with black olive and oregano gnocchi, peas, carameised leeks and rabiit jus. it was beautifully cooked and presented. This was a meal to remember and the restaurant were more than happy to provide me with a copy of the menu for my holiday journal. After this wonderful serendipitous meal we then went up the road to St Georges church and capped off the evening with a great jazz performance by the John Laws trio. It was one of our very good night outs.
