“Excellent location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

This was a well located hotel near the centre and trainstation at the base of the destroyed West Pier. Rooms were in excellent decorative order. Show was great bed was comfortable. The manager was very helpful.

The rooms have air conditioning, although at the time this was not working yet so the room was very hot. I was assure it would be working soon and if this is the case then the room woul be great. Price wise, it was competative for the short notice I booked it at!

Room Tip: High floor, back is quieter

The staff were very helpful and friendly. But for £90 a night are room was ridiculously small. We had a top floor room which you could barely swing a cat in. Our suitcase took up most of the floor space. I have to say my heart sank a bit when we arrived for a romantic weekend to a small box with only a tiny skylight for a window which we couldn't open when it rained. So we did our best to spend most of the time out in Brighton. The decor was clean and up-to-date but there was no tea and coffee making facilities only a vending machine downstairs. It was in a superb location wlking on the prom and taking in Brighton nightlife. Over all nice but make sure you get a bigger room when booking as the other rooms are much bigger.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the second or third floor as they are bigger and have less noise and possibly have...

The reviewer was made fully aware that the room in question has limited space and a sky window when she made the booking. It is therefore incorrect and unreasonable to make it out that she was taken by surprised these facts

I needed to book a three night break in short notice and found this little place. It's well positioned in a square (with public underground car park in front) on the seafront just opposite the old pier. Just behind is Preston Road with loads of places to eat (recommend the Italian and River Spice Indian!) and drink.

Rooms are recently refurbished to a very high and clean standard, and the daily clean is spotless as well. We had the triple single bed room at the top of the stairs (me and two older teenage boys) and although a little noisy from the bars behind, it was just fine. Close the windows and use the aircon if you are hot! Good range of freeview TV channels and wifi if you are really lucky and hold still.

Simon is really friendly and kept me up to date with the booking with texts and reminders.

Great place to stay for a cheeky getaway - highly recommended!

Room Tip: If you need to sleep three comfortably, grab the only triple I could find in Brighton for a reaonabl...

Great great place to stay...
...a very warm welcome from the owner.
The rooms are very well decorated to a high standard...just right I would say.
Modern & comfortable, air con', much needed this trip.
The hotel is situated in a perfect spot, handy for eating, shopping, walking along the sea front & of course the beach.
The only down side would be, no tea & coffee in the room, although this is to hand at reception.
I can see why this is done, but it would be far better & easier in the room.

The room was big and a good location and very clean. But it felt like a poor mans ikea, cheap looking. Definitely not worth the £120 a night. If we had paid £80 then the review would have been better. Not suited for a romantic weekend. We were two friends so it was fine.

Cheap renovation? If only the writer knew how much it has costed to renovate the room in question. In any case, the reviewer also simply has no idea what is a fair price for a hotel or a hostel room in Brighton!

We arrived late i Brighton and were lucky that this hotel was available. We stayed in a double room. Plenty of space and a very nice bathroom. Owner was helpful and friendly. All we could ask for in a hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel recently for 2 nights for part of our honeymoon. It was perfect for what we needed. A very clean room, very modern.

The hotel is very basic but you couldn't ask for more on the seafront in Brighton for such a reasonable rate.

Loved the hotel, the staff were very friendly - would definitely stay here again!
