As soon as you walk into Tooktas Cafe, it feels warm and inviting. There are only about ten tables, so it has a feel of coziness and intimacy about it. Flickering candles light the small room and makes the place feel romantic in an understated and low key way. Staff were very friendly and service was extremely good. We had the shared platter to start which was lovely and fresh and consisted of prawns, veg, prawn crackers, sesame toast and some chilli dipping sauce. I then had green thai curry with jasmine rice, which was divine...and definitely had a kick! I opted to take the chillis out, but they definitely made the curry flavorsome! My husband had a beef in oyster sauce stir fry which I am told was very good also.
This place is very good. It's down to earth, Cody, intimiate and has a really good feel to it. Staff make it excellent. Most definitely returning.
