“Well worth going based on reputation”

We dined at Tookta's on Wed 14th and again on Fri 16th as it was so good. We went based on reviews on Tripadvisor.

Me and my partner had a sharing platter for starters which offered a bit of everything from the single starter selection. Priced at £9 and tasted fantastic.

I had a prawn Matsaman for my main which was beautiful and my partners Green Thai Curry was also fantastic. Both were priced at £9.

The restaurant is so inconspicuous on the street and really feels very homely, it is light and fresh but also very snug. The service was great on both occasions and we couldn't speak highly enough of the place.

I think this is the best representation of Thai food I have tasted in the UK.

“Very pleased I trusted the previous reviews! What a gem”
Reviewed September 17, 2011

Had lunch here with my husband and kids (11 and 12). What a fantastic place. The hosts have something special. They are friendly and have the gift of making you feel that you are dinner guests in their home without being intrusive. They really want you to enjoy the food. Well, we certainly did. Beautiful, fresh ingredients and a wonderful menu. My son loved the spicy noodles! Do not miss this place if you are in Brighton. :)

“Beautifully authentic and intermate”
Reviewed September 6, 2011

We went to this tiny restaurant after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the service flawless. We felt as if we were welcomed like old friends, such an intermate restaurant. We can't wait till we're in Brighton next so we can eat here again. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone especially those who are craving some genuine 'gap year' cuisine!
