We stayed for 1 night in a deluxe room which we booked online for a great rate. The room was huge with a comfy sofa, massive, comfortable bed and lovely balcony with great views of the sea and pier. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. We had drinks in the hotel in the evening after a night out while a pianist played the grand piano in the bar. We will definitely go back!

Wife insisted we stay at the Grand for a midweek break and so we go a 'deal' (£189 for two days in a twin room - 605), inc breakfast and a £20 dinner deal, which we didn't take up This was 'Advance Payment' - you pay full price,in advance and get nothing back if you cancel. .
Car-parking is £25 pd but the NCP car park at rear is £20 pd and I was told there is parking for £12.50 pd at the rear of the Hilton, although I couldn't find it. I suspect there may be valet parking of some sort, unless the staff now have access to Aston Martins.
Our room was a good size and very comfortable and quiet although without any view. It was presumably updated after the bomb damage and now needs doing again. The room furniture (weird faux regency) is becoming scratched, the 'hot' disc is missing from the basin tap etc. The worst aspect is that for a hotel of this standing, the TV is minute, not even flat-screen - come on Mr de Vere, spend some dosh!
Breakfast was very good and the staff attentive and helpful. I never saw the fitness centre. The pool was closed.
For this price, I would certainly stay again!

Sometime since i stayed at the Grand could not belive no valet parking anymore what a joke still charge a fortune to use there carpark but now you have to park the car yourself The hotel could do with a refurb as you can see visible cracks but i still love this place it takes you back to the 1920's (Probably larst time it was refurbed) Excellent food in the Kings as always and what a breakfast FANTASTIC I will always return to the Grand becouse i love the old place But Devere should spend some money on it and bring back valet parking ASAP as this was all part of the experience If you are planing to stay there please do, a seaveiw room is a must.

To think I nearly cancelled this 2 day break for my wife after reading the reviews on Trip advisor is crazy.
I paid extra for an upgrade to premiere seaview, what a sound investment,a large room, with seating area and views of the sea.
I booked the 2 day deal with breakfast and a £50 credit for evening meal, and we were most impressed wirt the quality of food, and the Breakfast was "the best I have had in a UK hotel"
i will go back soon.

An excellent hotel to stay at which is overlooking the sea at Brighton. The staff are absolutely fantastic, where nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel so special.
The bedrooms are extremely comfortable with a large inviting bed that you just snuggle down in and your head rests on the sumptious pillows.
The Restaurant and lounge areas are impressive whre excellent food is served and you can enjoy a tipple from the extensive list of quality drinks.
Once you have experienced 'The Grand Hotel' at Brighton you want wont to go anywhere else.

We stayed at The Grand for two nights in November 2009. The staff were lovely and friendly, always willing to help. The location is wonderful within easy access to the beach, pier, and town centre. However, I was slightly disappointed with the state of the room for the price paid. The room had a strange bowing of the floor meaning all the furniture wobbled towards the centre of the room - very disorientating. We checked my boyfriends brothers room and it had the same problem. The bathroom was very old and had mould growing up the wall where the shower was leaking. I had expected a bit more from a hotel with such a reputation. This did not spoil the weekend however as everything else was wonderful and I believe the rooms were being refurbished on the floor above us so hopefully all are now finished!

My parents and I have just returned from a fantastic two night stay at the Grand. It was a special stay as my parents have now been married sixty three years. I was concerned as since making the booking I had read some adverse comments on TripAdvisor. But I need not have worried from the moment we arrived everything was perfect. On arrival we were met by Fred the concierge and I knew we were in for a great stay. My parents had a wonderful sea view room which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The service was impeccable and all the staff without exception were so thoughtful and kind.
