“The best Aquarium I have visited”
Reviewed September 5, 2009

The Sealife centre is most certainly a places I would recommned anyone who goes to Brighton visits. Going in expecting it to have the same sort of displays as all aqauriums we were pleasantly surprised by the sealife centre and had a very enjoyable time. As well as the usual carp and tropical fish on display we were pleased to also be able to see quite a few different speices of turtle and teripins including getting to see the very large sea turtles being fed. The sealife centre also offered an oppurtunity to touch crabs, starfish and anenomies as well as offering many dfferent displays throughout the day. It was also lovely to see that some of the orignal Vicotrian elements of the centre have been restored and retained. The only downside to the trip was litter within the show area which made sitting to watch the sharks and turtles slightly unpleasant.

“Too expensive when paying full ticket price”
Reviewed August 29, 2009

The price is an issue without any discount vouchers £40 for two adults and a 5yr old. It doesn't take long to walk round. We had the added bonus of face painting at no extra cost, which was a bonus. We wouldn't go again . Only go if your on a discount voucher. I have learned my lesson now - Google everything and search two for one- DONT PAY FULL PRICE. We loved the building, though tired it has plenty of character.
Would recommend ONLY on discount price as you can get 'full/whole' days out elsewhere for similar price.

“Awful, Dirty and Expensive”
Reviewed March 1, 2009

The Sealife Centre is awful. One adult and two children, £35. You will be all done in about an hour. It is dirty, scruffy and small. Save your money. And don't even get me started about the toilets...

“Very very good!”
Reviewed February 14, 2009

I visited Brighton about 2 weeks ago for first time, and Sealife Center was one of the first things I had on my "to do" list.
It certainly did not disappoint! There are large collections of fish, turtles, star fish etc from various environments (river waters, tropical climates,English sea etc), a separate area called Amazonia ( with species...well from Amazone area such as Piranhas), and a large tank with various species of rays, sharks, corrals, tropical fish and Lulu the turtle (a 50something year old, 200 kilo turtle).
Kids and adult will find Sealife center quite interesting. Staff is polite, areas are well lit, and most of information are setted in a pleasant way and easily understandable to kids. Just be a bit carefull in the Amazonia area, because there are plenty of mirrors around, I guess to make an illusion of larger area or jungle. You'll see when you go there.
There are some small areas decorated as Jules Vernes Nautilos that have a "20000 leuges under the sea" theme, to make visit even more fun to kinds, and interactive and educational stuff to cause awarness about environmental issues to younger and older visitors alike.
Do give this place a try, you are going to like it and learn intresting stuff!
