Owner description: Two years running 2014 and 2015 winner of 'The Best Place to Visit in Brighton & Hove' - Brighton and Hove Business Awards 2014 & 2015 Visit the world's oldest operating aquarium, right here in Brighton! Based opposite the iconic pier, SEA LIFE Brighton was built in 1872 and features 3,500 memorising creatures including turtles and sharks. For an additional cost you can admire our resident giant Sea Turtles Gulliver and Lulu, sharks, turtles, rays and tropical fish as they swim under your feet on the UK's first indoor glass-bottom boat. Take a look at our Behind The Scenes on an interactive experience which will immerse you into our working world. See first-hand how we care for over 3,500 sea creatures. With over 40 other world class displays we can ensure you will have an amazing discovery throughout your underwater dive. Don't forget to keep an eye out on our website for events throughout the year. We are open daily from 10am, with last admission from 4pm depending on time of year.

Please do not pay any attention to the bad reviews on here. After reading them we were a little reluctant to go but found that SeaLife is the opposite to the 'dark and dingy' place some people claim it to be. There is certainly plenty to see and you will not be at all 'bored'. All the different species of fish are amazing and watching the giant turtles was special. We went on the 10/15 minute glass-bottomed boat ride where we floated accross a pool containing 25 different species of fish including 5 sharks and 3 giant turtles. A very informative tour guide was supplying us with interesting facts and was open to questions.

I would advise you purchase the tickets online as they are much cheaper. As we bought them online, we had a fantastic day out for an extremely reasonable price.

Make sure before your visit you source some bogof tickets to this place as it can be quite expensive.
You get a stamp on your hand so you can come and go all day if you wish.
Amazing aquatic selection. Lots to do. Food is expensive and snacks.
Show and tells are the best in any I have been in. Omg the seahorses are fantastic. You can upgrade to a back stage tour well worth it if you are into sealife it has a short yet intresting walk through tunnel over head sharks. Fish turtles. Wow. They have shops selling stuff right at the end. Quite pricey for what it is so I recomend stick to a budget. And please give money to support the seahorses......
In total fab day out. Don't expect to much..... Be surprised. And take your flash of your cameras please.

Between me and my wife we have been to our fair share of Sea Life centres and others all over the world. It was only that our young son is appreciating wildlife that we took him here. We booked online the night before to save afew quid (Happy Days) however we do feel that this place is a little overpriced. There really is'nt much variety and lacks tropical fish. The decor of the place is awsome and looks very gothic and church like. Considering this and being in such a funky place as Brighton really does'nt live up to its potential and I feel they could put so many more sealife on display. There was foot space infront of all the tanks to lift 'Little uns' up to stand and watch the Sea Life. There is also plenty of Baby changing facilities in the toilets and a buggy park What was good was the Ocean Tank and walk through Tunnel where you can see 3 huge Turtles, Rays and Sharks amongst many others. The Glass bottom boat and behind the Scenes exhibition which you have to pay a supplement for should be included to warrant the time spent and indeed the admission price. Although they tell you at the desk that it takes 2 & half hours to see more realistic with a tea break would be an hour and a half. We had a nice afternoon eitherway and is worth going if you can get 2 4 1 tickets or offer codes.

Great place ,Nice for the kids, very expensive for a family, also bear in mind parking in Brighton is not cheap and you need a good 2 plus hours for the visit,
