“Great attraction in Brighton for an unusual date”
Reviewed August 15, 2011

My first visit to the sea life centre was a great success. I would go there again, and I would recommend it to others. There are a huge number of exhibits, and a lot of fish, frogs, terrapins and other interesting creatures to look at (and do impressions of). I spent about 3 hours in there going from tank to tank. As long as you're not with someone who hates fish, or has a short attention span (teeny kids) then I think you can get your money's worth (get a 2for1 voucher or itll be £16.40 each).
The architecture of the building is really cool, and the shop wasnt too expensive when i wanted a drink and a snack.
The large pool with the turtles and sharks in is the best, and not long after we got there we had a talk from some of the staff about the sharks. I was too busy looking at them being fed to really listen.
N.B. Dont waste your money on the 20p machines- fortune teller etc.

“Far too expensive but the best Sea Life Centre Ive been to!”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

Although £16 an adult which is just ridiculous this is the best Sea Life Centre Ive been to. Its situated underground which adds of course to the whol Under The Sea effect. The tanks are spaciously situated with interesting facst pinned up outside each as to who lives inside. We fell in love with the 'Wiffle' there - cant believe Id never heard of one and am still expecting to find out it was a fake creature! The Amazon section is great and has an authentic feel to it and the gift shop is extensively stocked yet again shockingly expensive. We didnt ride the glass bottomed boat but it looked like a lot of fun and we wish we had! Staff were dressed as pirates and letting vistors touch selected creatures. Overall a nice day out and you can return later on in the day as many times as you like.

“A fun day out”
Reviewed August 7, 2011

A good family afternoon. We took our twins under 12 months old. they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. The touching pool was fun for them both. All the fish were clearly displayed. With plenty of information To hand.

“An impressive close up of marine life”
Reviewed August 6, 2011

The kids loved this place, and it helped make a success of a very rainy day. The displays, some originally victorian, were impressive and well set out. Hands on experiences with rock pool was a hit for our youngest son, aged 7. The highlight had to be the shark tunnel and seeing the sea creatures from below.
Admission was quite expensive, but made affordable with vouchers collected.
If you find yourself wondering how to amuse the kids on a rainy day, it is a must!
We visited in low season, but i have heard it can be crowded during summer holidays.
