Description: Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.

We were recommend to go to Sabai and thankfully we weren't left feeling let down.
The staff were welcoming and helpful and the food was really good, although we had tried Thai elsewhere, Sabai the overall overall feeling was absolute satisfaction.
We would recommend this place for either lunch or dinner
You gotta try it out

“A most enjoyable experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

The evening of Wednesday 16th April found us eating here at this wonderful restaurant in Brighton.
Previously undiscovered by us, we were delighted to find this great place to eat. The food is authentic ( we have been to Thailand many times ), the décor is wonderful, and the waitresses are professional, friendly, funny, and superb. Do be aware though that a large Chang will hit you for £6.50.
You will not necessarily find pea aubergines in your curry but this is only because they are becoming more difficult to get.

All in all a really good and enjoyable visit. Well done.

“A really lovely Thai Meal that didnt break the bank!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

This was our first visit to Sabai and we will most definitely be going back. At first we wondered what it was going to be like as once you opened the door you then had to pass through a long red curtain to enter the restaurant. A lovely ambiance about the place, nicely decorated. Small and intimate and bookings only. The price we paid was very reasonable and the service was attentive but not overly so. Would recommend this restaurant.

ps. We got complimentary crackers too!
