A lively, atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Brighton. The staff were welcoming and attentive and service was very good. Our waitress explained the specials and offered advice on other dishes, There is a good range of tapas on the menu as well as non-tapas dishes, though the latter in less quantity. Our food came quickly - started with gorgeous olives and a killer alioli with bread - and then had 5 tapas dishes between the two of us. Absolutely lovely dishes, full of flavour, excellently cooked. My wife couldn't get a glass of red wine that wasn't Rioja - she would have had to buy a bottle so that was a little disappointing. Those 5 dishes plus the starter was plenty for us. We're not particularly big eaters and I'd say that 2 or 3 dishes per person would suit normal appetites. The price was fair though my one niggle is that 10% is added to the bill as a "discretionary" service charge .... so that's not really discretionary, is it? It's a practice that I don't like though it didn't detract massively from our enjoyment of the evening. I'd definitely recommend AguaDulce for quality food, pleasant restaurateurs, great location and a good atmosphere.
