Description: Located on the Kings Road in Brighton, Bar Aguadulce is a bright and buzzy spot popular with locals and day-trippers from the capital who all love the down-to-earth atmosphere and authentic Spanish menu. Serving everything from tapas to fresh fish and homemade puddings, Bar Aguadulce is a good spot for get-togethers and after-work drinks-and-dinner dates. The restaurant has homely, um-pretentious and informal, with a very chilled vibe and the service is friendly. Strongly recommended are the Paellas and Rice dishes of which they are absolute specialists. Pop in for a glass of Sherry from their extensive selection, have it with a little tapa, or for a Schooner of the best Spanish beer imported in to the UK. Another feature worth mentioning is their menu which can be entirely prepared in a CELIAC friendly way. Gluten-free beers are also available and their gluten-free bread is baked in house by the Head Chef.

Excellent food, especially the tapas on the specials menu. Service efficient whilst being relaxed and friendly. Well worth searching out.

I found the restaurant on trip advisor and thought the reviews might be a little too good to be true, but it turns out they weren't! The menu is a great balance of some local Spanish dishes, tapas you'll know from the region of Andalusia and some old favourites that you'll find in every tapas bar. They also offer lots of great sounding mains, especially fish. We chose one of the specials (duck with a pedro ximenez sauce) on the recommendation of one of the waiters and I wonder if the stuffed baby squid he recommended would also have been so terrific (I wish we'd tried it now)? The albondigas and patatas bravas were flavoursome, homemade and much better than any I've had in England. The clams in white wine, parsley and garlic were fresh and truly tasty. The staff were very busy but when they came to serve us they made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. My son's about to start at Sussex Uni, so we'll be down this way a lot over the next three years and we will certainly be coming back. As will he!

Visited Brighton on bank holiday Sunday and ate here in the early evening. The waiter was very helpful and the portions and quality of the food were superb. We would visit again if we were in the area.

We were a party of four on the 10th August, visting Brighton for our friends birthday. The food was fantastic, so flavoursome and plenty of it. The 2 bottles of wine were so reasonably priced and the overall bill was unexpectedly more than reasonable. Would definately visit again... and again.

To explain the title the portions here are amazing. The fact that I finished the meal actually impressed the waiter. Whilst we are vegetarian and had limited options the tapas was incredible and the vegetarian paella was sublime. The staff were extremely friendly and they had no problem with any requests we had.
