Description: Located on the Kings Road in Brighton, Bar Aguadulce is a bright and buzzy spot popular with locals and day-trippers from the capital who all love the down-to-earth atmosphere and authentic Spanish menu. Serving everything from tapas to fresh fish and homemade puddings, Bar Aguadulce is a good spot for get-togethers and after-work drinks-and-dinner dates. The restaurant has homely, um-pretentious and informal, with a very chilled vibe and the service is friendly. Strongly recommended are the Paellas and Rice dishes of which they are absolute specialists. Pop in for a glass of Sherry from their extensive selection, have it with a little tapa, or for a Schooner of the best Spanish beer imported in to the UK. Another feature worth mentioning is their menu which can be entirely prepared in a CELIAC friendly way. Gluten-free beers are also available and their gluten-free bread is baked in house by the Head Chef.

We visited Aguadulce last night after several previous visits but took along two friends who had not eaten there before.
We received a warm welcome and were promptly taken to our table. There was an excellent choice of homemade Spanish dishes along with some wonderful sounding specials. We opted for tapas followed by paella to share for four people. All the tapas dishes were served in a timely manner and we all thoroughly enjoyed sharing and tasting new dishes. The paella looked stunning when it turned up and the flavour matched it. An excellent portion for four people and needless to say there were only a few grains of rice remaining. We were too full for pudding but had enjoyed a lovely bottle of vina sol white wine which teamed perfectly with our food. Our waiter was thoroughly attentive at all times and Carlo was the perfect host as always.
We will most certainly be going back again!

We visited Agua Dulce with a group of 8 as part of a hen weekend. We were having a very early dinner (booking at 7) as a couple of the group had to catch trains back to London afterwards and so I'd been worried about the empty restaurant feeling but I needn't have worried. From the moment we entered, the service was so friendly and attentive that it really helped create a good atmosphere.

The food was delicious. A fantastic range of tapas (the specials were particularly good) with no fails amongst the (large number of) dishes that we ordered. And the bill was a far bit lower than I'd expected as well.

if I lived in Brighton, I'd be here far too often!
