I thought I would give this place a go, I read the reviews on here first of all and only noticed one bad review so thought i would give this place the benefit of the doubt. On arrival the guy that greeted me was friendly I can't fault that, but upon going down a strange narrow staircase to 'reception' if you can call it that (!) I was greeted by some bloke in his pants playing a play station which isn't really a problem for me personally but i thought it rather strange being a 'hotel', it looked more like my brothers bedroom. They were friendly enough and I won't fault that. My room was number 2 - which is right by the stairs of reception and near to the front door. The room was strange to say the least and it was confusing in a way that the floor was old carpet and filthy with stains and dirt and the two single beds looked like a double bed had been cut in two or something, and had big holes in the sides of them (?!). The bathroom looked like it was in a cupboard, i have to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was clean. I did however have to rinse the shower out, but other than that it was clean. There was a small flat screen tv on the wall which I have to say was good for the price. IF HOWEVER, you want to get some decent kip at night don't bother staying here. The noise and people running about down and up the hallway and up and down the stairs was ridiculous. I had to stuff tissue in my ears to sleep and make a trip to the off licence to buy some alcohol to knock me out (!). The irony was the next morning there were two cleaners banging on my door wanting to clean the room (?!). In the end I only stayed the one night of the 3 I had paid for because I couldn't stand the noise and the room any longer and managed to get in somewhere else. In a nutshell if you want a cheap below average room for a night after a stag do or something where you're intoxicated then this will do the job well, if not don't bother if you want to actually get some rest.

I found this little Gem on the net and was initially was somewhat sceptical as looks fairly basic in the photos.

On arrival I was pleased to find that the room was clean and comfortable and even had a flat screen TV.

Cost range from £15-£25pp, I think I would have struggled to find a better value hotel so close to all the action.

A great alternative to a travel lodge or alike.

I stayed in this hotel for a weekend with my girlfriend. The rate was very low however I found this hotel to be of excellent value. For £20 a night the room was extremely clean, comfy and had a flat screen tv. Everything was within walking distance and the staff were most helpful. I would recommend this to any traveller looking for a good basic cheap stay in Brighton.

We went to Brighton to party hard and all I wanted was a clean bed for the night but I got much more than I expected for my money. I walked in off the street on a Wednesday night to see £15 per person advertised and that is what I paid! I got an ensuite room which was clean and very reasonable for the price, I even got free tea and coffee!! This made my week as I was able to spend the money I saved on a good club to round up my excellent stay.

I stayed here with a group of my mates on a stag do and thought that it was an ideal base for the weekend. Although the hotel was fairly basic the rooms were clean and tidy and we couldn't fault the location. Top weekend!

Me and my boyfriend thought we'd have anight away and saw this hotel, was cheap and thought we'd give it a go! WISH WE'D NEVER STAID NOW! The owners hardly speak a word of English considering it a brighton hotel, the smell when you enter this hotel is disgusting, the floor is filthy the carpets look like they've never seen a carpet or duster! The stairs are wonky when you going up the stairs you are tilted feels like they are going to collapse at any second! the window sills were covered in grease and dead flys! I MUST SAY THIS HOTEL WAS ALSO VOTED "BRIGHTONS WORST HOTEL" ON A TV SHOW! When we were shown our room which we'd also asked for a double, there were 2 single beds when asked what we'd asked for the lady who didnt speak english just pushed the beds together and left!! the decor was ok though but the covers were foul they had what looked like tea or s**t stains on the beds were lumpy and very low to the floor and very noisy!! i then went to make a cup of tea and found the milk pots were out of date so i went to complain after knocking on the landlords door for many minutes still noone came i shouted and shouted eventually 10 mins later someone appeared when i told them about the milk he just shrugged and said go buy some milk! on returing to the room after going out for the evening, the homes/flats across the hotel visible from the hotel rooms window, a dog kept barking for a good hour couldnt get to sleep, the dog soon shut up but carried on again throught the night, you could hear people walking up and down the stairs all night, the walls are paper thin, it was just a shambles! There is no parking either for this hotel and no breakfast offered! FILFTHY AND DESERVED EVERY INCH OF THE BRIGHTONS WORST HOTEL AWARD!
