This hotel is located near the seafront as described. there was no form of view apart from the roof of a building below and a section of water between buildings. there is intermittent 3G signal for those who wish it but good signal in bar area. room itself was normal travelodge standard. a little more attention is required. A menu with something sticky with hairs attached did not fill me with confidence about the cleanliness as dis the pathetic dribble from the sink tap and the the blocked sink. Not good enough. Don't bring a car, the car park "behind", the hotel is a fair walk and very expensive, almost £20 even when the hotel discount was applied.
This hotel would have a single point if not for the service provided by the bar staff. Friendly service and the best cooked pizza in a travelodge to date, wish I'd noted his name, he's a star!
Hotel location is great if you're a party animal on public transport, otherwise think twice.

Room Tip: think carefully about what you are looking for in your stay

We stayed here for 2 nights. Check in was easy and staff were helpful. Room was okay, clean and big, hotel is in need of a major update. Bathrooms are basic, and seem cheap.

Overall okay but could be better.

Stopped here for one night whilst visiting family. Right near the sea and the town centre, next to a few clubs but no noise issues. Car Park just behind. Place was clean and tidy and staff were helpful. Would stay again if cheap enough and check out and check in were quick and simple

I have reviewed this hotel before. This time I had to pay considerably more for a room, and so this review will be assessed against the price now paid. Yet again (the third time) all of the check-in machines were out of order. For the price paid on this visit, it is becoming the norm at UK hotels to be provided with free Wifi. A welcome improvement is that this is now the case at this Travelodge, but what is not welcome is that the connection is cut after a few minutes, with a demand for payment to continue.
We tried to use the breakfast facilities, but instead of being able to choose items we were told to go to the front desk and buy two £7+ tokens for two "full English" breakfasts, with no other choices available. I do not know what Continental guests think of this. Instead, we walked a few yards to Wetherspoons, where we had breakfasts for less than £3 each, with unlimited refills of coffee and free WiFi for as long as we wanted to sit there.
The room lighting remains dismal, and the TV channels almost useless. With Freeview now universal, why not just plug it into the system?
The location is brilliant, and if you can get a room for under £30, Travelodge is a great choice. But with prices of well over £100 now often being thrown up when booking, standards need to improve.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view when checking in. The staff are very accommodating.

Do not expect a decent sta. If you get a good rate, still move on to Premier Inn, who have decent rates AND clean rooms you will pay over the top for parking, and feel grubby staying here. The hotel is clearly trading simply for stage and hen nightirty, naff and depressing. I stayed with my four year old and felt I owed him an apology.
