the worst Travelodge I have ever stay in even at paying £107 for 2 nights, would never stay here again.
this Travelodge really needs to be tidy up and had everything working, drinks vending machine were not stocked up during the whole weekend even though it was the hottest weekend of the year and the bar was closed

Before entering the room there was a piece of carpet that had fallen off the wall.- Dangerous. Shower tray filled up immediately, black gunge oozed out of the drain. Would NOT empty. CIGARETTE found on chair in room. NO ONE helped with drains. Plumber promised but never appeared. 7 floors and one lift not working. - CHAOS. Completely unsympathetic incompetent staff. The worst stay in any hotel in my life / My wife thoroughly concurs. HORRIFIC!!!

I stay at this hotel 5 or 6 times a year. This hotel is tired and needs a major overhaul, but if booked at the right time 5 or six months in advance you can get a BARGAIN!. The staff - Simone in particular - are helpful and friendly. This is a Hen and Stag Do location or party central type persons hotel Thursday through Saturday. It is in amongst all the night clubs and can be carnage Thursday - Sunday on the roads in and around this hotel. The breakfast is not very good. Skip Breakfast here! Go over the road opposite to the UMI Hotel - Little Bay Restaurant for £5 you get a good hot cooked buffet and the food quality is FAR SUPERIOR to the Travelodge !!!!!!! The rooms have always been clean and functional along with the bedding being clean white and crisp. Do ask for a second pillow at check in and in summer ask for a fan as the rooms get hot. If you are looking for a romantic hotel - THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. If you are looking for shopping, restaurants and a party time Pick this hotel! Fridays and Saturdays here are expensive due to high demand - Not for Quality! The hotel does have 2 extra security Staff on Fridays and Saturdays and they do not tolerate any noise or over exuberant behaviour. If they see it, the guest is evicted and escourted out of the hotel - Fair Play!

Room Tip: Best Rooms rooms ending 01 and 15-20 on floors 5 and above afford you a seaview at no extra cost. Al...

Arrived in a heatwave. The room was stiflingly hot. The windows only open centimetres-we were told H&S reasons-and there was no aircon or fans. Obviously Travelodge have no control over the weather, but they have control over the room temperatures.

The decor needs looking at, outside our room there was skirting boards that had come away from the walls.

There is a number of nightclubs in the area which means at 2-3am the area gets very noisy. Now my clubbing days are well and truly over, but hey I was young once (admittedly a long time ago!) and as Brighton has a number of clubbers I can't really complain-but if we could close the windows and make the aircon work it probably wouldn't be an issue.

We didn't have breakfast as at £7.99 we could get it cheaper in the local cafes, and made to order as opposed to a buffet sitting round for ages.

I returned without my iPad, and it could only be in Travelodge. When I rang they could only tell me if it was there the next day (for such an expensive item???) Next day they said it wasn't there so I reported it as stolen to Brighton Police. I spent the day on the phone to travelodge, the police, insurers etc etc....only for them to ring me back later that day (so 24 hours after i reported it missing to Travelodge) to say it was in the safe. OK my bad in leaving it behind-but taking them 24 hours to say it was in the safe????? And only once it was reported stolen and the police informed?????

Next time I need a budget hotel in Brighton, I'm going to Premier Inn. If it's good enough for Lenny Henry, it's good enough for me.

On a positive note-the beds were comfy, it was reasonably clean, and apart from the nightclub thing, the location was good-close to the beach, pier, the Lanes etc.

As the name suggests, this hotel is right by Brighton seafront. The rail station, shopping centre, many cafes/restaurants, and The Lanes are very close by, and it is a short walk to the Royal Pavillion and the pier. All-in-all an ideal location for a visit to Brighton.
Our accommodation was very clean, no frills but all the basics for a great stay. The only drawback was external noise late at night, but even this did not stop us from sleeping in the comfortable bed.
I would happily recommend this Travelodge if you want to stay right in the heart of Brighton.

Don't arrive early. Or you have to pay more to dump your bags in the room. And leave by checkout time. No left luggage area out with booking in times, you have to drag your bags with you or pay the early arrival charge. Nice room. Bed etc. wasn't that impressed with breakfast but was ok. Better value in cafe offering cooked breakfasts, which I will do next time. Location excellent! Right neat the sea front. On the train station road so easy to find. Next door to the cinema and Brighton centre
