Description: However popular the North Laine becomes, the heart of Brighton will always remain The Lanes themselves. There are plenty of pubs among the twisting narrow streets, but none is as well known as the Bath Arms, which enjoys a reputation among tourists and locals alike as THE pub of The Lanes.

We were recommended the Bath arms for dinner while shopping in the Lanes and it was a great tip. The food was superb, I had an amazing starter of haggis with scallops and prawns ( it was the day after Burns night) followed by one of the best steaks I've had. My fiance had the fish and chips and loved it. Combined with really efficient, friendly service this is definitely somewhere we'll come back to and recommend.

The Bath Arms has one of the finest chefs in Brighton behind its kitchen doors - I have never been disappointed by what they offer. What other place in Brighton offers a snack bucket full of different meats?! Seriously - black pudding, crackling, sausage, chorizo and chicken in a bowl... Bliss...

The Sunday Roasts are beautiful, and the table service puts it a cut above other Brighton roast pubs. The open fire and helpful staff make it a great place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I fully recommend the sausage and mash, too - a huge portion, with the best gravy I've ever tasted.

Ambience, good quality food, staff and seating - this place has it all.

Stumbled upon the Bath Arms while having a stroll, and was immediately impressed by the relaxed feel and pleasant helpful bar staff.
Enjoyed a couple of pints of local bitter, seated near the warm open fire. Decided to stay for lunch
and have to say the chef certainly knows his business; delicious grilled sardines followed by an authentic cassoulet, and generous portions too.
Also a good selection of reasonably priced wines available by the glass, made for a very enjoyable couple of hours.
Back in Brighton in February and already looking forward to revisiting this pleasant establishment.
Wish there was a pub like this near to me in London!

Was taken here by a friend and it has become a regular meeting place. Warm friendly atmosphere.

Depending on the ebb and flow of the various groups it can go from being empty to packed.

Really nice place.

We were rcommended the Bath Arms by a friend and we were not disappointed. He'd said it was nice for a drink, but also said the food was good. He wasn't wrong. Initially we were going to just have a drink, but the menu looked interesting and the atmosphere was great so we decided to eat. The staff were all great, be they serving at the bar or waiting on the tables. There was a selection of real ales on which was nice for a beer lover like myself, and when the food came out it elevated the whole visit to something a bit special. We had a sharing plate to start with a number of dips. All were home made and so good my wife had to ask the kitchen for the recipe, which duly arrived with the waitress. The main course were delicious and you certainly wouldn't go hungry at the Bath Arms, with the portions being on the generous side. It was also a nice blend of all ages in the pub too, which didn't bother anyone because when you looked round it seemed that the one thing everyone had in common was to have a nice time. We will call again when next in Brighton.
