Took my dad here today who was visiting for the day from Devin, where, if I'm honest, we are spoilt for quiet and atmospheric pubs serving amazing local food
However, the bath arms exceeded my expectations! This had been recommended to me by a friend and was not a disappointment. We were seated promptly and were recommended a wonderful local ale by the barman who gave an accurate description of what to expect. The roast dinners were divine( I had beef, my dad lamb) and were very impressed.
The portions were Large without being overwhelming. The beef was tender an flavoursome, the roast potatoes crispy yet fluffy and the veg was very tasty(their red cabbage in particular with spices and apple was amazing). For pudding had choc brownie with brandy ice cream...yum!
The place is quite pricey but well worth the money, and The pub itself has an old school edwardian vibe which reflects the history of the laines. The service was very good as well.
Overall, highly recommend, and after working in catering, I am a tough customer! Scrummy!
