“Good food but feels bit unorganised”
Reviewed January 28, 2014 via mobile

Went here on few different occasions to eat and for a wedding. I like the food here but it really feels unorganised and hectic. But if you want a nice burger or a roast with bit of patience it's worth it.

“Amazing Pulled Pork!”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

I'm a semi-regular visitor, and enjoy the good selection of drinks and friendly service. On a recommendation from a friend I tried their pulled pork brioche. It was fantastic - a really generous serving of quality pulled pork, which worked wonderfully with the brioche bun. The fresh, home-made coleslaw was a nice touch, and pleasingly different from the usual commerically mass-manufactured sides you tend to get with burgers. Portion sizes were generous too - great value for money as well as delicious.

“Really Disappointing”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

Having made a booking four weeks ago, having gone in to confirm the booking a couple of weeks ago (as I a gluten free, ) and wanted to check they could cater, and then a friend confirming two days before, it was extremely disappointing to turn up to NO booking! Although it was in the diary, apparently it was missed in their handover. We had had previous emails from them looking at the menu etc ..but the staff insisted we hadn't got a reservation.
There were seven of us, and luckily we managed to get a table together, but honestly, that was poor. As a celiac, and the previous reviews saying they could cater with notice, as the chef wasn't given any notice to do their normal gluten free options. The food for others was good on the whole, hence my rating below.

Hello there,

Thank you for your feedback, you may be interested to hear that the pub is under new management as of May. We have various gluten free dishes on our main menu as well as daily changing specials, we also do a gluten free Sunday roast (proper gravy too!). We've also just added a tasty gluten free fruit and nut chocolate brownie to the menu.

Hopefully see you in the near future!

All the best,

Alex

“Good food good atmosphere”
Reviewed November 29, 2013 via mobile

A really good place to go for lunch or an after work gathering. Usually packed out as the food, the drink and the atmosphere are conducive to a relaxing time.

“What a great birthday! ”
Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

I arranged to come here with about 20 friends for my birthday. We were given a room upstairs.
The service was great! Very personal and speedy and they were very attentive to my gluten allergy.
The food was amazing! Good sized portions and every person in the party loved their food and shared with each other to try everything.

The whole afternoon was so much fun. Will come here again and again!
