Description: Overlooking the enchanting village square, the singing kettle tea house idyllically looks out on village life. Inside you'll find calming contemporary farrow & ball decor with arty wall hangings and in the warmer months you can choose to sit out front and watch the world go by, or hide away in the delightfully secluded walled garden A long established tea house with a renowned reputation for fabulous innovative cakes, sweet & savoury scones and excellent customer service. But it's much more than a tearoom, for lunch you could have one of the various takes on welsh rarebit or opt for an open sandwich or toastie on hand cut bread, maybe try the delicious soup all of which is prepared and cooked for you on the premises. It's all simply lip smacking.

“Lovely traditional cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014

We called in for morning coffee and were tempted by the cakes on display. Staff extremely friendly, pleasant background music and tasteful decor. The coffee was excellent and the cakes were as good as they looked! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a traditional 'English' tearoom.

“Excellent Expresso”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

Sat outside in the sun watching the traffic and walkers go about their business. Staff were very pleasant. Getting a genuinely good expresso is tough. Theirs was smooth and rich with no bitterness. Excellent.

“Just as good second time round!”

Back again whilst out walking last Friday. Great light lunch and cream teas later in the afternoon. Can't believe you could fault this quaint little gem. We will be back!

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

Was really looking forward to a snack in here after a long walk. It looks really pretty from outside. The service certainly didn't come with a smile.. More of a sigh.. The rarebit was tasteless, without the chutney it was described with and very over priced.. When I went to the counter to pay I noticed the produce used to make their snacks was cheap and cheerful stuff .. Guess they are catering for people who only come in once as I certainly won't be returning their
