Ate here as we arrived late and not many places were open. Lots of choice on the menu and friendly Bar staff.

“Beware The Play Area”
Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Nice enough pub, plenty of choice of drinks. Didn't eat here so no comment about that. But I did take my nephew to the play area. It was full of dog faeces, this is totally not on. It was like a big outdoor litter tray. Needless to say there wasn't much play going on once I noticed that. Really disgusted by that as kids are often more likely to be on the floor. Sort it out! Fence it off if necessary, it's a potential health hazard!!!

Since taking over the Crows Nest Inn in October 2014 we have strived to make big improvements decoratively and in the kitchen whilst changing the menu every couple months to ensure we are making our food choices better every time.

“Disappointed by the sausage and mash”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Dropped in here Friday of halve term early with our two kids. Restaurant empty, six o'clockish. Bar lady said go right in and sit down, then the landlord, dressed in rugby shirt bustled in and asked us accusatively had we booked? No I said looking around at the empty restaurant. He settled down and seated us.

Beer good.

We ordered four bangers and mash. Sausages tough, mash from a packet, gravy stodgy

Average. And expensive.

When we left there were still only two other tables in there!

“The pub that has everything”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

A wonderful establishment run by the friendliest and most welcoming people. I have enjoyed a drink there on several holidays in the last few years, played pool with my kids, listened to live bands and enjoyed good value meals in the pleasant restaurant. Popular with locals and holidaymakers alike, always a great atmosphere.
