There are no words to describe how amazing The Eastbury staff were on my daughter's wedding day. She and her husband- to- be had the civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception at the hotel. It was obvious that the Eastbury are very experienced in running a wedding in particular Nicky King, joint owner/manager who was the person coordinating the day and her partner Paul who was running the restaurant side of things Everything down to the smallest detail was carried out with seamless efficiency. All the staff worked very hard but with a smile and a friendly face The food on the day was fabulous and in fact all the meals over the whole weekend of our stay were first class. We now know why the chef and his team have won so many awards. The rooms were individually themed and the beds were extremely comfortable !
The hotel and its staff all played a huge part in making the wedding day everything the bride and groom dreamed of .
All our friends and family had nothing but praise for the hotel and the service they provided.
We would highly recommend that any bride and groom should consider the Eastbury and the lovely town of Sherborne as an ideal venue for their special day.
All we can say is a very big thank you.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. It was dinner, bed abd breakfast deal. Our room was spacious, comfortable and light, overlooking the garden.

Dinner was the 7 course tasting menu and was excellent. All the cousres were beautifully presented and were very tasty indeed. The wine matches were excellent. The staff were very good and explained exactly what we were eating in each dish.

Breakfast was also excellent.

We stayed on a two night break at this hotel. The room was very comfortable, very clean and the fittings were of a high standard. We had the seven course tasting menu on the first night which can only be described as superb and on the second night we had the normal menu which also was of a very high standard. All the staff in the hotel were very helpful and courteous. We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had an upgrade to a superior room, Rowan, and although you had to go up steps to the room it was...

Really attractive quirky building. Our room, on the front, was reached up a somewhat crooked staircase. The spacious room had beams. Breakfast was first class, interesting muesli (which you can buy from their shop in town) and freshly cooked full English made with quality ingredients. Pleasant garden, tidy but not over groomed. Agreeable staff. Clean room.
The only downsides were a frayed carpet on the stairs (not dangerous, and one doesn't spend long looking at it) and some marks on our bedroom carpet. And a really annoying shower which worked fine but had to be hand-held so tended to sprinkle the floor too.
Dinner was mixed. The tasting menu had sone very clever tasty items and others well realised but dull.
We went on a deal which made the trip stunning value.

Hote was set in an elegant town house with a lovely hidden garden to the rear. Staff were friendly and did their best to make us comfortable. Rooms were well appointed. Restaurant was excellent for breakfast with a very good selection. Dinner menu was a little pretentious and food didn't quite live up to expectations. There was quite a lot of road noise as we were in a front facing room. Sherborne is a lovely town and easily walkable from the hotel. I would thoroughly recommend this destination for a short break but would probably eat out if I returned to the hotel.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in this quality hotel plus the dinner tasting menu was delicious. The breakfast next morning was also extremely good with amazing choice and beautifully cooked. Parking was easy and free and a very short walk from all the attractions in Sherborne. The staff were very helpful and rooms very clean. We would definitely go back.

3rd visit to The Eastbury and still fantastic. Staff always pleasant especially Gary, all hotels should have a Gary in their team! Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Dorset.
Hotel is spotlessly clean and the cooked to order breakfast is true perfection. Always look forward to staying and never disappointed....

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking garden are quieter.
