“Comfort and peace in Historic Tolpuddle”
Reviewed August 4, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Garden Cottage is an excellent base if you are after walking, relaxation and peace. The house is clean and comfortable with everything one would need for a short stay ( including strong wi-fi. The kitchen, utility room and bathroom were well equipped, the bedroom quiet and the living room had books, guides, DVDs and a large TV. Guests can access the wonderful upper garden for tranquility ( and better phone reception) while Bob is an ideal host; available if you want advice but unobtrusive if you want privacy.

“GREAT PLACE,AN HIDDEN AWAY GEM.”
Reviewed July 10, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This cottage is a great place to unwind,it's very peaceful and there's a really good pub just down the road,The Martyrs Inn,which served local beers and great food.Tolpuddle is a pretty village with some great history attached.
The cottage is fully equipped and can sleep upto 3 people, there are guide books, maps, walks,a good selection of paperback books and dvd's,a home from home really. We needed to chill out after the referendum and this was the perfect place.
It's an ideal base to visit the area attractions.Only thing to mention,no mirror in the bedroom,my wife had to improvise!

“Peaceful Haven”
Reviewed May 24, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

A lovely fully self-contained cottage with full facilities. Clean and comfortable and set in a gorgeous garden at the rear of main house. Very pleasant hosts who respect privacy.
We found parking in the back area a little tight with a larger car but street parking was available.
Tolpuddle has much of historic interest and is close to other interesting places. Loved our stay despite gloomy weather.

“Great Location in Hardy Country”
Reviewed May 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Quiet village in the centre of Dorset - great for exploring all that Dorset has to offer. Good accommodation at the rear of a thatched cottage makes for tranquillity. Off-road parking; small kitchen; no dishwasher; ideal for two. We stayed in an unseasonably cold April, so needed to use fan heaters to keep warm - can't recommend for winter, but ideal for summer holidays. Internet access worked very well.

“Perfect Holiday Cottage”
Reviewed April 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We stayed at Garden Cottage to 'get awatv from it all'. It's a well stocked little cottage, with lots of local information, books, even dvds. It's clean and well presented. The owners left a welcome pack including milk, tea and biscuits, which was very much appreciated. The location is good for getting around to the coast and local places. Lots of kitchen equipment. There's a nice pub 2 minutes walk away. In the end, I was quite unwell for most of our holiday (as luck would have it!) but we were comfortable and warm and felt at home in the cottage. So definitely recommended.

Thanks for your very positive review. It's a shame you were ill but as you say, the cottage is warm and cosy. I'm pleased you managed to get to see some of the nearby attractions.
