“Great Location in Hardy Country”
Reviewed May 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Quiet village in the centre of Dorset - great for exploring all that Dorset has to offer. Good accommodation at the rear of a thatched cottage makes for tranquillity. Off-road parking; small kitchen; no dishwasher; ideal for two. We stayed in an unseasonably cold April, so needed to use fan heaters to keep warm - can't recommend for winter, but ideal for summer holidays. Internet access worked very well.

“Perfect Holiday Cottage”
Reviewed April 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We stayed at Garden Cottage to 'get awatv from it all'. It's a well stocked little cottage, with lots of local information, books, even dvds. It's clean and well presented. The owners left a welcome pack including milk, tea and biscuits, which was very much appreciated. The location is good for getting around to the coast and local places. Lots of kitchen equipment. There's a nice pub 2 minutes walk away. In the end, I was quite unwell for most of our holiday (as luck would have it!) but we were comfortable and warm and felt at home in the cottage. So definitely recommended.

Thanks for your very positive review. It's a shame you were ill but as you say, the cottage is warm and cosy. I'm pleased you managed to get to see some of the nearby attractions.

“Lovely comfortable cottage”
Reviewed August 19, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This is a lovely cottage in a very quiet location. The facilities in the cottage are very good with some nice little touches that make the stay very enjoyable. It is a good location for getting to places like Dorchester and Weymouth.

“Pretty location”
Reviewed August 1, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

After just arriving from a 26 hr flight from Australia, The Garden Cottage was a lovely site because as of the name the garden was pretty.
Bob was an excellent host and there was nothing that the cottage lacked. Nice and quiet in a pretty village with thatched roofs .

“Great location”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Garden Cottage is very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay.
The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and tidy. Bob the owner had left some provisions for our arrival along with a good selection of leaflets on places to visit in the area. The position of the cottage is ideal being situated half way between Weymouth and Bournemouth,
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If your thinking of taking anything other than your clothes ...... STOP!
Every thing that you could possibly need is inside this great cottage, From a very well equipped Kitchen ( with welcome pack ) to a very light & bright shower room.
Garden cottage has very comfortable beds as well as lots of room to spread out in the lounge.
There is so much up to date information at hand, on things to do & places to go.
Bob is a fine host, never in the way but always available to help.
Garden cottage gets 10 out of 10 from us.
Thanks for a lovely week.
