It was a lovely break wish we had stayed longer. Monkey world was fantastic and stable cottage was really nice great for the children. Lovey old cottage ther was everything we needed. We would love to come back again but for longer thank you
The location was perfect a very peaceful little village . The little thatched cottage was lovely . My step mum myself and the dogs had a wonderful restful time . We would love to visit again. Beaches and amenities close by . The owner Philip Beale was very pleasant and welcoming Thankyou Philip
Characterful thatched cottage with log burner in very quiet Dorset village. Very well equipped with every home from home comfort provided - even a phone with loyalty payment scheme as there is no mobile phone coverage at all and a pint of milk and some flowers on arrival, which were really thoughtful touches. Lovely private garden at rear with BBQ and proper outdoor dining table and chairs - secure for dogs, although the sound of the hens next door drove my poor Westie mad with excitement! The only downside was the terrible smell of damp in the bathroom which made a long soak in that bath less pleasant and this room could really do with a coat of paint and some re-grouting to bring it up to scratch with the rest of the house. A few more lamps downstairs would be nice as a calmer alternative to the very bright spot lights bouncing off the white decor too. The Sailor's Return pub is a 5 min stroll away and very nice, although the food was extremely disappointing on our visit.
Nonetheless, a lovely place to stay if you want to get away from it all for a while.
cozy cottage adjacent to good pub and walks on the doorstep really enjoyed our stay wished it was longer but not enough days available when we could go
Just got back from Dorset and had a wonderful time. The Cottage was idyllic. Such a chocolate box setting, very quaint and just perfect for what we needed. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and flowers in both the kitchen and bedroom, which was a lovely touch. The heating had been put on so it was all warm and cosy and logs ready for the fantastic log burner, which we used every evening. The bathroom with shower isn't luxurious but perfectly fine for the time we were there. The front room was large and cosy. The main bedroom had the most comfortable bed with fluffy pillows and the kitchen had everything you needed, including tea, coffee, sugar and very kindly fresh milk. The village is tiny so if you want to get away from it all, it's ideal. The location was great as so close to Lulworth and Studland. The garden would be great for the summer and all in all I thought it was a great place to stay and would certainly love to return during the summer months. Really had a wonderful time. Thank you Philip.
