“Third time here in two years, still excellent.”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

This cafe is situated in a quiet side street, well decorated and clean appearance. Daily menu board and seating upstairs or outside in the back. Food is well presented, tasty and service for us has always been pleasant. - It is a busy cafe because of the recent success. They also do great local cakes.

“Excellent Service, Felt crowded though.”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

On arrival thought restaurant was full but hadn't realised that there is a large seating area upstairs so was pleasantly surprised. We were seated at a table for 4 right at the top of stairs soon realising it was right by the specials board and also it's where the waiting staff congregate in between waiting the tables so we either had waiting staff or other patrons stood by us (viewing the specials board) or what felt like staring at us from their tables as they viewed the specials board behind us. I think that it would be very wise to lose this table as it isn't a very nice place to be when eating, it was quite cramped for four as well. That aside the food and service was fantastic everything arrived at the same time and was very tasty the menu had a wide variety of food for all tastes. Had tea for 2 which came in two teapots one of which had only hot water would have been nice to have had 2 teas! Overall a lovely little spot with quality food and service. Just need to sort out that table!

“friendly service, good food”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

we reguarly visit Potters when we are in town due to the good food and with a varied menu selection. service is always quick and friendly, with reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere. The cafe is decorated in an 'old style' in keeping with the historical side of Dorchester. In winter its warm with log fires burning.

“Great lunch spot”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

Ate here twice for lunch whilst down in Dorchester. Very impressive selection for a small cafe with very interesting specials. All the dishes we tried were carefully prepared and very nice. The outdoor seating area is nice and the staff friendly.
