stayed here with my daughter over the weekend to see a concert at the bic . the location was a 5 min walk away from the venue and 1 min from the lovely beech. The room was very comfortable and clean and over looked the sea. As the hotel is situated away from the main road it was very peacefull which made for a good nights rest. We did not eat there as we had made prior arrangements but the dinning room looked nice. They do have arrangements with anear by hotel to use its fitness facilities and has free wifi usage. There was plenty of free parking which made a big difference. The staff and owner were really helpful and friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would certainly recommend this hotel . Thanks for a lovely stay.

My Mum, sister, niece and I went to Bournemouth to visit family and we had such a great time we actually stayed an extra day.
I would recommend Hotel Riviera to anyone staying in this area. Everyone is friendly and the service was exceptional. They also serve a great full English breakfast.
The hotel is clean and the bedrooms are large. We had a sea view and it was perfect!

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view

Old-fashioned, friendly, non-chic hotel. It is charmingly 1960s so those who must have contemporary will probably head for a characterless big hotel... there's one just down the road. This is obviously very popular with the more elderly customers who flock there booking and re-booking because of the home-from-home atmosphere.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a sea-facing room as the view is stunning looking right across the bay

We have stayed at the Hotel Riviera 7 times now and felt it was about time to do a review.
The location is good with most rooms having a sea view or side sea view. The rooms are clean; however they are a little dated as is the hotel as a whole. That said there seems to be a gradual refurbishment program going on as there were workmen in the empty rooms. The hotel has a nice garden with loungers, tables and chairs and there is a small balcony leading off the bar on the first floor. We have spent many hours sitting here in the sun with a cold drink. As the hotel over looks the sea it faces south, so the garden and balcony have the sun all day long.
We have only stayed on a B&B basis so cannot comment on the dinner; however the breakfast is adequate, though not amazing. The car park is quite small and parking is tight and it is necessary to leave your cars keys at reception so that they can shunt your car around.
The owner and staff are friendly, especially Sam in the restaurant.
One thing I felt compelled to mention, is a few of the reviews for this hotel are in fact the Riviera Hotel and an entirely different hotel altogether!
You might be thinking why do we keep going back. Well it meets our needs, a good location on the West Cliff, close to the beach, pier and town. Also it is fairly quiet at night with no traffic noise and as most of the guests are mature and in bed quite early, no late night revellers!
Will we be returning? Unless we find somewhere else as quiet and convenient, of course we will!

Spent a couple of nights here. I booked through late rooms.com - so the price I paid may reflect on them more than the hotel; it was quite a lot more than displayed in the hotel tariff and did not include breakfast.

It's quite dated, but kept very clean. Bedroom was somewhat hot, but weather was good.

The reception staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Having recently returned from a seven day stay at the Hotel Riviera, I felt I had to comment on an excellent holiday, that was had by myself, wife and daughter. My wife and daughter require a gluten free diet, which means that they are allergic to wheat. The chef's, kitchen and restaurant staff made sure that all our requirements were met every meal time. The food was of the highest quality, and plenty of it! A special mention for our waiter Sam, who is a credit to the hotel! All members of staff were friendly and courteous, and couldn't have been more helpful!
The room was very clean and comfortable, and cleaned everyday to a high standard. Cant wait to book our holiday at the Hotel Riviera for next year!
